Hi my name is Jenny I have newly accepted Christ, I dont have any christian friends yet so I thought this might be a good place to start. I recently joined a church in my town and bought a bible. I just dont know where to start. I am very excited about having Christ in my life now and already I feel more whole and less alone. Does anyone have advice for me?

The Gospel of John is indeed an excellent place to start. In reading any of the Gospels, I would suggest that you do two things: 1) pay special attention to Jesus, to what He says, what He does, with whom He chooses to interact, how He deals with interruptions, what He wants His disciples to learn, etc.; and 2) place yourself in the various scenes...what do you see, hear, touch, smell, experience? How do you feel about what you participate in? How does it change your thinking?

Do this, and pray as often as you can, in all kinds of prayer.

thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome! I am going to my first bible study tommorow with a lady I met at the church and I cant wait! In the few short days since I have accepted Christ I have felt so much better about everything in my life! I prayed to him that I would find a job that would make a difference and also pay my rent and yesterday I was hired as a doctors assistant and patient advocate I am so happy! I feel so very blessed from all that God has given me lately and I no longer feel lonely because I can turn to him when I have a question or need support.
