  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I saw a message on top of the screen telling me to stop here and introduce myself to make my first post. Clearly, this site is a little different, so it may take me some time to get used to the whole thing. I don't know what reputation and blessings really are, but they seem to be quite important. I suppose I should reread everything and get it figured out.

Anyway, I am a Baptist living in Oklahoma. I am a college student, former Marine, and totally in love with my Lord and Savior.

I am looking forward to getting to know at least some of you in the coming days, weeks, and months.

Yeah, I too found this site to be very different (in a kind of good way) to most other Internet forums. From what I can understand about reputations, when people either like your post or are impressed by it, etc, etc, they can chose to add to your reputation (I'm not sure what they do exactly). Blessings can be exchanged for Armor of God stuff, avatars and signatures, etc, etc. Your armor of God is just fun stuff that you can buy by exchanging blessings for and they appear in each of your posts next to your avatar, blessings, reputation and so on. You can access those from the menu at the top of the screen under their respective names - you might try and experiment with them.
