hello, are you Secular Humanist Atheist? . .

I'm not a member of any group that calls itself "secular humanist". I don't really think of myself as a "secular humanist", although my worldview is perhaps similar in some ways.

However, I have subscribed to Free Inquiry, a secular humanist magazine. Also, the Fellowship of Reason, while not a "secular humanist" group, does include secular humanists in its membership.

I'm not sure why you are asking, so perhaps I could help you in some way.

Sure, ultimately its your choice to non-religious.

Atheists can also belong to a community.

What's wrong with being secular? . .

My point is that "secular" and "atheist" is almost redundant. An atheist is almost by definition secular. (I say almost because one of the antonyms for secular is "spiritual" and some atheists call themselves spiritual.) However, a secular organization need not be atheist.

There is nothing wrong with being secular. As far as governmental organizations, I'd say it is preferrable.

Could an atheist be something other than secular?
Of course. All that's required to qualify as an atheist is not believing in any kind of deity.
As religions needn't necessarily be theistic, it's possible to be an atheist without being secular.

What I intend to convey, philosophically, was that due to agnostic/atheist -INFLUENCE- rational reasoning + positive psychology I became a -Default Christian - . . .

Please convey in more detail.

What is a "default christian"?

What sort of agnostic/atheist influence?

Which features of positive psychology?

Are you suggesting that secular humanists are "default christians"?

What is a "default christian"?

A Christian that has been "buddhahized" with all the labels, complaints, and stereotypes.

What sort of agnostic/atheist influence?

human reasoning without the Divine.

Which features of positive psychology?

Say, someone may be mentally or pyschologically troubled - You would be cautious with that person and speak or talk to them in the right way.

Are you suggesting that secular humanists are "default christians"?

no

I have no idea what you mean by that. Please explain.

human reasoning without the Divine.

Okay, but how does that relate to this issue?

Say, someone may be mentally or pyschologically troubled - You would be cautious with that person and speak or talk to them in the right way.

What does positive psychology have to do with that?

Been labeled, judged, procrastined, stereotyped, hated, criticized, scrutizined by people who complain & think everything wrong about Christianity

Okay, but how does that relate to this issue?

It relates -(historically)- to how an Atheist or non-religious Communist government wanted to destroy or eradicate all the Christians.

What does positive psychology have to do with that?

Positive psychology is not that deep, dark, brooding, black stuff but of light & sunlight.

Are you trying to smear secular humanism with communism?

While secular humanists tend to lean towards the left in politics, they generally aren't communists.

Oh, this is so old at these boards. Now it's not just "Atheism" being smeared with communism, but secular humanism as well. Go find something better to discuss. I'm tired of this nonsense. I'm bowing out of this discussion as a default atheist.
