CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Welcome Lacy. There are some great thread on this and all the various areas of this forum. However, I suspect that we are a bit old for you...you have stumbled into the "mature singles" ...as in those of us mid 30's and older. You are welcome to chat with us but our issues/problems are probably slightly different than yours.

Welcome to CF. I think this is a great web site, I've learned a lot here and shared a lot about my life here as well.
Hard to say what threads will interest you. I think the topics are well divided up and so you can find what might be of interest to you by scanning the thread topics at the top adn then get more specific the next level down.

Welcome! Just look around and I'm sure you will find an interesting thread. Here are mostly singles in their mid-thirties and up and the "Singles (only*) forum is mostly younger people and has a lot of threads too, so there are a lot of threads to browse.
Also, check out the other forums. Whatever the "flavor" of Christianity you are interested in, you are sure to find interesting things to read that are relevant.

Well, way down at the bottom of the main page is regions and languages
If you are interested in someone then click on their name to see what they have said about themselves. Do put in your profile a few things about yourself you want to tell others.
And click on yourself and look at 'statistics' to get back to where you posted, sometimes I forget where I posted a couple of weeks ago and that is awfully handy.
And another trick, middle mouse button on the next places you want to go and they should all open in separate tabs so you don't lose where you are when you go there. I usually have 5 or so CF tabs open and then others for things I look up that I don't understand when I'm reading, or check out when I'm writing.
