Hi community,
I come from the very international city of London.
Things are changing, and how we view ourselves.
The world is no longer set in a "christian" framework of truth and reality.
Today being a man or woman is not allowed, to express yourself is to be
part of a group of oppressed or oppressors.

Jesus called us to be loving, simple people who showed His love to all we
meet.

So I come to discuss how we might grow and do this better and answer the
new perspective raised by Jordan Peterson and how Jesus addresses these
very questions. God bless you, and may we grow deeper in the love of our
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through our interactions.

I am curious. Eastern Orthodox. Is this a theological position or just a membership
of a church group? I ask because I have no exposure to this group, except pictures
of icons etc and clergy wearing ornate robes.

It's a theological position and also membership of the Orthodox Church - there are several Orthodox Churches in London - Google is your friend there

Yes you are also correct - lots of Icons and Vested Clergy and wonderful Chant

Yes, Eastern Orthodox is a communion of Churches worldwide, including the ones mentioned in Scripture (many of which have continued to exist) - except Rome. Rome became Catholicism which of course led to Protestantism through the reformation and in succeeding generations to many denominations as all were seeking to find the Truth according to the best way they understood. Meanwhile the East was mostly pocketed away (often under persecution) until more recent times. So while it is now a worldwide Church, it is not well-known in many places.

Google is a good resource, at least as we present ourselves. As you might imagine, there are misunderstandings and so misinformation sometimes as described by those not Orthodox.

But we are part of this wide and varied family here on CF. I pray you are blessed by being here! Please let us know if you have any questions about the forums where we can offer help.
