hello im a new member in this forum, the reason i joined this forum was because i was catholic in the past until i started going to christian church with my girlfriends parents where they converted me. well i am not a full blown Christian yet i want to get to know the lord and i want him to come into my life. I want to have a real strong relationship with God and i need help on how to get started.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletess will be canceled.
We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!
But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.
1 Cor 13
We can only be full blown Christians when Jesus returns...for now, we are incomplete and imperfect!

Welcome to Cf. What a blessing to have you here. The lord is our strength. You asked for help on building your relationship with God. Talk with him daily and pray for guidance, he will help you.
