  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello from a fellow Christian. At this time when divisions in the Orthodox Church have grown to such deadly heights, I am cheered to have discovered this forum reflecting more of an ecumenical spirit. As a Catholic convert from Protestantism, I have deep respect for every faith tradition that enlightened me on my way and for all those that I have studied. I love and pray for all Christians and indeed all people of good will. If I can help anyone here in any way, I am glad.

I hope you all are praying for peace among the people of Russia and Ukraine, and especially for peace among the two Orthodox families who have separated in Ukraine, for the wider Orthodox Church, and for Catholics in western Ukraine. I read in an AP article this sad fact: "Every time Russia takes over Ukraine, (the) Ukrainian Catholic Church is destroyed," said Mariana Karapinka, head of communications for the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia. SOURCE: EXPLAINER: How is Russia-Ukraine war linked to religion? While there have been appeals to religious nationalism on both sides of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, religious loyalty doesn’t mirror political fealty amid Ukraine’s fight for survival ~ By PETER SMITH - Associated Press

God bless you for reading my post and praying for Christian healing and unity.

Hello. I don't know how I missed your very good introduction, but it was only for a few days. I pray for them, all of them, as many of us do, and I notice that no one has been conquered in a month of battling. I still pray that the killing would stop, everyone on both sides could go home, and people could have food and water and good places to live again.
