Hello all! My name is Jon, a.k.a. "Heir to the Kingdom" 
I'm new here, hence this intro, and I am very excited to be able to fellowship with other believers and talk about things that really matter, like Jesus
Anyway, I've always thought that I was nondenominational, but upon venturing into the Word of Faith threads it seems to me that my beliefs are quite in line with theirs, atleast so far!
I've spent time studying other religions, specifically satanism and Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism. Satanism is no good for me, mainly because I love Jesus, and Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism really isn't my cup of tea either. But I can say that I've checked out other stuff, even atheism, and have always come back to Jesus and His love for me. It's something I can't deny, even though I've tried!!
Bottom line, I want to be just like Him, and He is making me more like Him every day.
I am interested in religion, philosophy, science, theology, this and that... I have a wide range of interests and an appetite to learn. I've spent time talking to a ton of atheists and I've heard a lot of evidence againt the existence of God, but more than anything I have just been bombarded with anti-Christian messages. I'm not saying that this is how all atheists behave, because I know that there are many atheists that are looking at the evidence for the existence or lack therof for and intelligent designing Mind and have thus far come to the conclusion that there isn't one. I enjoy talking to people who have done their homework and have valid points about the subject that don't personally attack my morality or that of the God of Christianity. I just don't think that it is very fruitful to attack Christianity as a way of breaking people down in a debate. Maybe I'm just single minded, but I'd prefer to have a conversation on a single topic, either God, science, pizza, cars... You know? But how does it help your case to say that God likes slavery when the topic at hand is the faint sun paradox, or current evolutionary theory, or DNA? Anyway...
I don't like when people attempt to disprove God's existence by trying to appeal to my sense of justice, as if it were better or more complete than God's. Things like genocide and murder and slavery and rape are all said to be favorite pastimes of the Christian God when none of those things are actually acceptable, and it really sickens me when someone cherry-picks Bible verses then repeatedly gives their biased opinions on said verses without taking them in context and without listening to sound explanations.
