Several times, I end up seeing comments along the lines of, "Ha. You'll be burning in hell."

Do some (or most) of Christians typically get this, seemingly, sadistic enjoyment?

No, what you are seeing is a most interesting species called "Internet Troll".

There is no joy in the death of the wicked. Just because Christians joking around does not mean they take hell lightly, that is a problem of very bad perception on the observers part. Some people assume Christians need to be dour and serious all the time but that couldn't be further from the truth.

Christ gives life, life more abundantly. His Salvation brings joy. If atheist know as much about Christianity as they claim then they should know there is joy in being a Christian, a King's Kid!

When (and why) would Christians joke about eternal damnation of others?

Why would that ever be joke material, for a Christian?

If you were paying attention and didn't come in with a chip on your shoulder that all Christians are such and such you would seen that you accused me falsely. I firmly believe that Hitler et al are in Hell and I wasn't joking about hell but about Christians going there.

I can tell you Hitler, Stalin, Pol pot are in Hell by their own choice as are all people who refuse Christ, no one thinks that is funny (except for the nincompoop Fred Phelps and his gang), neither is you unfairly judging someone and placing motives that were not there on them.

If you not serious say so but don't assume you know someone else's motives for posting something when that something was not true that you perceived. You know I thought you were a different breed of atheist but come to find out your just like them rest of them assuming what we should be like and placing that requirement on us and looking for a preconceived weakness to exploit that.

Well, we don't actually know those specific people are in Hell. We can guess, but its not like we have confirmation.

No, but it's not to much of a stretch. They could have made a death bed confession which is not a good way to do it

First, I think someone doth protest too much...

Here is your quote:

"The simple truth is you and every atheist here will go to hell and you all are sad and pathetic...."

Then earlier and later you seem to take delight in it, occasionally adding smiley faces.

I never came in with any chip on my shoulder.

It got placed there by many Christians when I was asking questions.

Well, I can say you are exactly the same breed of Christian I thought you were.

You complain about trolling, but I didn't see your two cents on my posts about YEC's time dilation theory to explain things.

There is a logical disconnect here. For someone to comment on hell as a destination, is not to sadistically enjoy it. You can be comforted however, knowing that others have made that same mistake.

I see no disconnect in, "The simple truth is you and every atheist here will go to hell and you all are sad and pathetic...."

Try to ignore them. I don't know why a Christian would say that.

Only God knows who is going to hell or heaven. No Christian should play God by even thinking or worse saying that they know for sure who is going to hell or heaven.

We must remember that Our Lord forgave the thief from the cross.

Jesus turns no-one away from his love and mercy, not even the worst sinner, if they are truly repentant.

Some people sadly seem to get something out of saying stuff like that.

You asked does every Christian sadistically enjoy taunting you with the fruits of your efforts, and yet you seem to be only able to produce one quote from one individual. By this, You should have your answer.

It's not my duty to give all others I have ran ever across.

I only gave one quote from one individual, solely, because they used themselves as an example.

If you want to call me a liar and say no more than that one Christian has ever made such comments, feel free to do so.

However, I'd wager several Christians would disagree with that...

I know I have had these thoughts before. There were times when in my youth I was so frustrated with vitriolic Atheists I even said such things out loud. But this is contrary to the spirit of God, and it shows the Christians who say these things fail to be loving towards their neighbor as God commanded.

So do some Christians say this kind of thing? Yes. Is it right for them to say it? No. Is it true to the nature of God's spirit? No.
