I appreciate the effort you two took to press [Crtl]+C and [Ctrl]+V, but there really isn't anything more dishonest and lacking of genuineness than a copy/paste welcome greeting. I don't mean to be rude or ungrateful, but it's like a person with a completely blank, unemotional expression on their face handed me a card that informed me I was heartily welcomed and people are glad I'm here.

The fact that you didn't mean to be rude doesn't detract from the fact that you have been

People here are not forced to welcome anyone, it is purely to make people feel welcome that we do. To have that welcome virtually thrown back in our faces, is not very nice. Surely the fact that people have taken time out of their day to 'only copy and paste' a greeting to you should not be treated in such an arrogant manner! You did not exactly overload us with information about yourself, so I wonder what kind of greeting you were expecting?!?!

For someone that is trying to use these forums to promote your business, I think that coming here and being mean to people that are trying to be nice to you is in very poor taste!! As such, I for one, will not be following any links that you may leave here promoting your art. For that I am sorry.

I hope that this 'greeting' is more to your liking than the greeting that it took me two hours to create! You are the first (and hopefully the last) person, that has left me such a message!

As a Christian, I welcome you here with my whole heart and open-arms, I only wish that you could have accepted your welcomes the same way!!

A simple "Hello, welcome!" would suffice. I'm somewhat of a minimalist, and I greatly appreciate personalized messages, regardless of however short they may be. It just feels a bit more genuine to me.

Hello and welcome to CF

A tip for you when working with quotes is to wrap quote tags around the text you are quoting. To do so, just highlight the text and press the little "talk bubble' icon in the centre of the toolbar with the bold,italic etc. options. Or, you can just write them in manually.
