I just googled and apparently the average height for women in the US is 5'4". Google only gave me the average height for the US so I'm not sure about the UK.

Just found out the average height for British women is 5'3" so I guess that I am considered tall. Kidding!

I'm 5'8 1/2" and weigh...slightly over where I'd like to be. I generally prefer men who are taller and heavier then I am. On that note I've dated men that were shorter/taller/heavier/lighter in various combinations.

I have preferences, but they're not really set in stone, personality and chemistry mean SO much more to me then anything else

However, you should probably pick wisdom, intelligence or someone bright/witty. Maybe two of the three. May seem the same, but it's not, and very rare to have all three at any height.

Oh believe me, I know. They just seem to be few and far in between. I definatley look at those things you mentioned, which is why I said I don't write guys off based on height alone. By doing that I could miss out on someone great. Height is a superficial thing and, therefore, is far less important to me. I'm very keen on intelligence because I love someone who is knowledgeable, someone I can hold a conversation with. In my experiences, it's very rare for a guy to have just one of those exellent qualities you mentioned.

It doesn't matter to me how tall or short they are but as far as weight goes, it should be healthy or maybe just a little overweight.

I'm built a lot like Joe Dimaggio... kind of lean 6'2" & 190 lbs., but definitely not skin and bones. It can be a challenge to describe my body type on dating sites (not that I've been on any recently). The options usually read like this:

- skinny
- average
- fat
- athletic

People say that I'm on the slim side of average, and I'm fairly athletic in terms of fitness. The thing is, I'm not skinny, I'm not average, I'm not fat, and "athletic" probably refers to the bodybuilder type. I'm not that either. It ultimately comes down to a subjective opinion. Because the average American has become fat, that probably makes me skinny by comparision... yet my BMI indicates that I'm just a few pounds shy of being overweight. No matter, I like my body in terms of functionality. It gets the job done, but it's hard to accurately categorize. The up-side is that very few women are taller and heavier than me. Although that situation might be somewhat uncomfortable, it's unlikely to happen. As long as she is okay with the fact that I don't necessarily want to look like Mr. Universe, I am strong enough to protect her, and/or move heavy objects around the home. Still, I think it's more important that she values my heart and mind. That's how it is with me, as I don't chase after women just because they happen to fit my preferred height and weight.

I prefer a guy to be at least 5'3" which shouldn't be too hard to find. I also prefer an average build guy. He doesn't have to have a ton of muscles.

I'm 5'7", and I have a tendency to be attracted to taller guys. I like to wear heels, so 5'10" or taller is my preference.

As far as weight goes, I'm not really that picky. I've been attracted to many different body types. I want a guy to be the "protector" though, so that needs to be something he is comfortable with no matter what his body type. I had one guy who was interested in my that was 6'0" and around 210lbs...some other guy offered him a sparkler on New Year's Eve, and he ran....literally RAN from him. I just stood there pretty shocked. That, gentleman, is defintely a deal breaker.

I think the perfect size for a guy for me is twice my size. so a foot taller and about a hundred lbs more than me. And that is like the perfect size I think, as long as they are healthy, and take care of their body as I do mine.

6'2 , 183lbs... I guess I could be described as athletic, as I go to the gym every day..

I definitely would never date a woman taller than me lol.. and I prefer girls between 5'4 and 5'8.. which like to work out as well, or at least is active and healthy.. There is just something so attractive about a girl who isn't lazy and works hard in the gym

The term "athletic" seems cryptic to me, when referring to body types. I suppose part of the problem is that I know athletic people who are slender, average, and heavy. As a body-type descriptor, it's hard to place. I am athletic, but I've been hesitant to use the term in that context. Maybe I should. Hmmm...

I guess you're right.. I just use the word because it's a neutral word.. it can be used without sounding full or yourself (which I am definitely not, and don't want to come across as such).. know what I mean?
