And the follow up question is this: do you not think that Jesus is capable of this even if you think you want to walk away?
John 6:39-40

You had to accept this offer, but your acceptance is a total handing over of yourself to Him. You become a prisoner of God, as Paul puts it several times in the epistles. You are His and you are not your own.
And when we learn this and approach scripture from a God-centric point of view instead of a man-centric point of view, then we will begin to see the glory of God's true goodness and the power of His sanctifying Spirit in our lives.
