Found the part of John 6 you were talking about.

And the follow up question is this: do you not think that Jesus is capable of this even if you think you want to walk away?

John 6:39-40
39 And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day. 40 For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”

Remember:

2 Thessalonians 2:13
... because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

You had to accept this offer, but your acceptance is a total handing over of yourself to Him. You become a prisoner of God, as Paul puts it several times in the epistles. You are His and you are not your own.

And when we learn this and approach scripture from a God-centric point of view instead of a man-centric point of view, then we will begin to see the glory of God's true goodness and the power of His sanctifying Spirit in our lives.

I do believe the Lord is capable of this for sure.

But will HE override our will?

Do we lose our free will when we become SBG?

Is there only good in us when we get SBG?

Why are SBG people told to renew their minds and put away evil?

Our spirits are perfect, but our minds are still needing to change and conform to the truth.

Can a SBG person change their mind on their devotion and love for the LORD?

The devil used his free will to turn against the LORD.

The one in the middle was a Methodist!

I am not a Methodist but consider this:

The men preaching Christ who Paul layed hands on and they received the Holy Spirit baptism.

Do you suppose a person can believe in his heart, practice sanctification yet void of the fullness of salvation which includes the Baptism of the Holy Spirit choose to walk away?

Does the Baptism provide a finished work of salvation UN Revocable due to absolute spiritual bond?

Where as the other relies on his works being void of the complete understanding of grace.

Just tossing it out there.

After all Johnny Cash had a good song.
