  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So a few days a go at our "Three Coffees Discussion" We talked about Heaven.

It was very interesting to hears everyone's thoughts, such as, "would there be anything to do in heaven? Would we have things to strive for?" and "Would we be the perfect body?"....and many more, it was a great discussion and we are going to be expanding more on it in the future.

Just thought it would make for a great discussion here, what are your thoughts of heaven? What do you think it will be like?

well, I personally have learned that there are two heavens(although one of them is HEAVEN And the other is PARADISE).

what happens is a righteous person dies, and while he is dead he waits. where is he when he waits? this is called PARADISE, it is a state of being that is utterly restful. after a while he gets resurected and is rewarded by being granted entrance into HEAVEN where he will live with Jesus and God.

now here is what i think people do while there in heaven...Govern. I think they will have people under them whom they must manage and nurture, sort of like children.

also, this is just my opinion, but i think everyone plays with each other. they play games and talk and of course...well...probably....worship.

1 Corinthians 2:9
New International Version
However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"

Sounds like according to this verse, it may be impossible to describe heaven and we will never know until we get there. It's got to be something that you can't even imagine. :)

i've been before the throne in spirit and can say in heaven theres no pain - continous learning and freedom. completeness which we will never see on earth.. sorry folks but just being honest.. the light is so bright its amazing but most of us will continue to go through the learning process.

No, "Paradise" or "Abraham's Bosom" was where the souls of the righteous went to before Christ's sacrifice to atone for sins. It was in the Earth and was separated by a great chasm from Hell/Hades. But that was only until Christ made His glorious sacrifice at Calvary. The 3 days He was in the tomb He entered into Abraham's Bosom to preach to those in that "prison", and brought their souls with Him when He resurrected.

Now when a saved person dies their soul goes to be with the Lord, who is in heaven seated at the right hand of the Father. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
