Heaven

My pastor just started a wonderful series on heaven, and we are discussing it in our small group study (I am blessed to have my pastor as my small group leader, as well). I just wanted to hear/read some of your thoughts on what heaven will be like.

No more: death, pain, disappoimtnment, depression, fear, 'flesh", or evil of any kind.

everlasting: peace, joy love, contentment, fellowship, beauty, talking with the angels and saints , and of course JESUS!!!

My pastor just started a wonderful series on heaven, and we are discussing it in our small group study (I am blessed to have my pastor as my small group leader, as well). I just wanted to hear/read some of your thoughts on what heaven will be like.

The kingdom of heaven will not come by waiting for it, nor will it come by saying it is over here or over there, rather the kingdom of heaven is all around you, but men's hearts do not see it...yet.

It is thru Jesus that all must pass and enter into the kingdom of heaven and meet with God. As though a fat man (the world) thru the eye of a needle, you will enter to the kingdom of heaven.

When you let go of the world (fat man of heart's yet divided who stand outside the kingdom of heaven) and surrender your heart, mind, body and soul to Jesus, you will become one with Jesus and enter the kingdom of heaven. You will not be able to surrender your heart completely, if any doubt is within you, that you have learned from the world (fat man). Let go of the world, for the love Jesus has for you is without the element of doubt, nor the useless anxieties and foolishness of the world which is in spiritual poverty.

Recognize the love within you, and of who your true love is...Jesus. The Holy Spirit is drawing all of you to Jesus, even if you are unaware of the Holy Spirit in the world, you are able to sense the presence.

Come to Jesus, and receive the gift of the light, the resurrection and the Holy Spirit, in order for you to reveal what is hidden in the kingdom of heaven, with the light of Truth, which are the words of the eternal language of God.

When you come to know your true love within, Jesus, you will become known.

For this is the love Jesus speaks of that is more valuable than all the gold and silver in the world. The divine will of God is for us to love one another in the kingdom of heaven on earth.

I am Andrew, your brother, and I greet you in brother love and peace, for I saw Jesus in the kingdom of heaven, who waits for us all to come to him. Jesus wants you to become one with his heart and mind, in order to give you the complete instruction of the father and the complete love that is without doubt, nor fear, nor anxieties of the world.

For those who seek, the Holy Spirit will show you many things, so long as you are seeking Him. Be vigilant in your seeking Him, so that He may grow within your hearts and minds and shine brightly within you, pushing all darkness out of you and revealing any root, not of God, within your heart, so that you may pluck it out of your heart with the ax that Jesus has already placed at the root for you. It is in the light of Truth, on a bright day, that all things are revealed in the kingdom of heaven for you to see and embrace, that which is of God, and that which is not of God.

When you realize Jesus is your true love, you are near to the moment when you will surrender your heart, mind, body and soul to Jesus, when apon you will enter the kingdom of heaven with Jesus. Seek Jesus daily if you can, so His light becomes bright within you, until you are so bright, so as to light up the whole world.

I was thinking more in terms of specific ideas. What will the New Heaven and New Earth look like? What will be doing all day? Do you think we will suddenly know everything, or will we continue to learn? Will there be relationships? Will we remember our life before heaven? Will we remember those from our life who were not saved? And any other thoughts you might have.

I have entered into the kingdom of heaven with Jesus, where pure love exists, that is free of the anxieties of doubt, fear, and troublesome worries of the world.
You are able to see clearly with the enlightened mind which is filled with the pure light of Truth, that comes from a pure heart full of love, which sees the spiritual poverty in the world.

Relationships can only exist if they are loving relationships. You are no longer able to exist in non loving relationships with others, other than those you pass by when assisting the Holy Spirit to draw others closer to Jesus.

Interesting point on the remembering your previous life. This is important to me, for I am able to trace the steps I took to enter into the kingdom of heaven with Jesus. It is my hope that I am able to reflect on this for others to relate to, as I assist in ushering others to the pure heart of Jesus.

The part of those who are not saved is a most difficult one, for this is the depths of love that Jesus has for all of us, and this is the center of the future for mankind, that requires the Holy Spirit to be among mankind, as it is now.

We are born blind into a world that is lost, in spiritual poverty do we exist. Jesus is saddened by this, and looks apon all of you with great sorrow for you who do not realize who you are...His brother and sister, a child of God. It does not matter what level you are with your spiritual understanding, for Jesus loves you completely, every hazardous step of the way back to God. This is the pure love of Jesus, that is full of the light of Truth for all things in the kingdom of heaven on earth, and that which weighs heavey apon his heart. With his head bowed to you apon the cross, forgive them father, for they do not know.

My mother lent me an interesting DVD, I think it was called "One minute after you Die." It was very interesting and essentially suggested that heaven/ the afterlife will be a continuance of our current life, with several distinct differences and benefits of course. They described this life as the introduction and the afterlife being the rest of the book. We will continue learning, living etc.
Now I'm all about the worship of God and interaction with fellow believers and angels, etc. However, one of my dearest friends and I have always liked to describe heaven as "eternal backpacking." I have to believe that we will be able to engage in those activities we enjoy and that are righteous. My hope upon hope is that the new earth will give me the opportunity to climb high mountains and explore deep forests all while I"m waiting my turn to meet with the Savior, Paul, Peter, Aquinas, my grandfather, etc. etc.
I do believe that we will be even more acutely aware of reality and consciousness, "then I will know in full." Thus, if heaven/ afterlife is the eternal body of the book then we should expect the perfection that God planned for us in the garden plus being in the awesome presence of our Lord! When we get to heaven, if you're looking for me just turn your eyes to the highest, snow covered mountain and you'll see me drenched in the tears of pure, holy joy. God Bless and Godspeed

Wow! That is the pure love within you that is able to embrace Jesus completely. Your love for him that you have is that part of you which outshines all the rediculousness of the world, and it is that part of you that Jesus loves. Do not doubt for one second, the Jesus does not know these things about you, for it is you who has already come to him and knows His love for you that is completely pure in you, as shown by the obviousness of the words you have spoken of Him. For this is Truly a reflection of the Love for Jesus, that Jesus also has for us.

It always amazes me to see the love people have for Jesus that is so powerful and beyond our normal everyday lives. For me it can only mean one thing, that the Holy Spirit of Jesus is among mankind. Even for those who are not aware of it, they are able to sense His presence.

I believe the new earth will be the same as it was before A & E screwed it up. This would mean that we will be working, work that we will love doing (unlike wordly work) and be in the full presense of God, just like things were back in the Garden of Eden. We will have resurrected sweet-lookin' sweet-functionin' bodies. The air will be fresh, no pollution. We won't have to kill and eat animals for food, we will all be naked and without shame. The ecosystem will be balanced, animals won't have to fear us and protect themselves and their survival, and we won't have to fear any animals like bears or snakes.

But then again, we wouldn't have Jesus about
