  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The heart starts beating around 6 weeks..and if you have an early ultrasound done you can SEE the heartbeat, but usually not hear it.

Otherwise you can hear the heartbeat on a doppler at around 10-11 weeks usually.

With my son Luke they couldnt find the heartbeat on the doppler at 10 wks 5 days, so sent me for an ultrasound and of course everything was fine.

With my current pregnancy, they found the heartbeat on the doppler at 9 wks 5 days.

So i guess it kinda depends on exactly where the baby is or something..

with my daughter we had an early ultrasound and saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks, heard it at 13-14 weeks.

The same is true with this one, we should be able to hear the heartbeat at this appointment on Thursday, I am 13 weeks tomorrow.

I had my first appointment at 9 weeks and my Dr.'s did not attempt to listen then. I had an early emergency ultrasound at 12 weeks and saw it, and a regularily scheduled appointment at 13 weeks where I heard the heartbeat for the first time!
