• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What is a Healthy Weight for a Female that is 5'4" Tall ?

healthy wieght is something you feel, and know. a doctor would be able to help you decide. see, our body's all have different shapes. and age plays a big part of it. so, maybe you can request a physical. if you have EDs... please tell doctor. this is important that you communicate openly with doc so you get the best care.

("Please keep in mind that having a healthy BMI doesn't necessarily mean that your are healthy though. Someone with a 'healthy' weight and a 'normal' BMI could still be very unhealthy if they don't eat well, if they have an eating disorder, like bulimia or anorexia, if they are inactive, or if they just eat junk food. }A 16 year old (female) child who is 83.0 pounds and 5 feet and 4 inches tall, has a body mass index of 14.3, which is below the 5th percentile and is considered to be underweight. Being underweight or at risk of being underweight means that your child has a body mass index for his age that is lower than the 5th percentile. This can be normal, especially if your child has been growing and developing normally, has a healthy diet, and is active and energetic. However, being underweight can also be a sign of a problem and a sign of an Eating Disorder. Be sure to talk to your Pediatrician if your child is underweight. Also try this Ideal Body Weight Calculator to see what a more healthy weight would be for you.
