• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I quit smoking on the first of December after being a pack a day smoker for 8 years. The first week was hell.. but after that I just enjoyed feeling and breathing a little better. Now.. for the past few days I've noticed I'm breathing very well.. but on top of that.. I'm having a headache thats lasted for a few days so far. Its not a huge one.. more lowgrade.. but I've been quit for a month now. Shouldn't all withdrawal symptoms be gone??

I don't remember if I had the headaches or not but it takes a long time for the withdrawal symptoms to go away...Just remember to stay strong, keep the faith, and that THIS TOO SHALL PASS......God bless you..ohhhh and take tylenol for the headache and call me in the morning..LOL :D

Well usually the withdrawal symptoms are gone in the first week. Having said that everyone is different. I would recommend that you have a look at your diet or any other changes that yoou have made and if it is persistent to see a doctor. From all the books and information that I have read you shouldn't be getting headaches this late in the stage as all the nicotine and most of the other chemicals have left the body so I would look and see if there are any other triggers that may caused the pain. May God bless and praying the Lord will help you through this, Evie
