I have alwaysused a KJV bible since I was little kid and I do like the KJV but I recently was given a Holman Christian Standard Bible. What are ya'lls opion on it? I like it. It also seems to follw closely with the KJV. Our Sunday School books from lifeway have both the KJV and the HCSB side by side.

I gave my son (who is in the Navy) a Navy Holman Bible. I like it.

It's my primary bible. It's very easy to read, and it's also literal.

But I also use my NIV, NKJV, and NASB for comparison, too.

I followed the formation of the version. I was impressed with what I had read (can't remember exactly, now, but I am sure it can be found on the web). From what I have seen, it is a great translation.
