Background: At about age 7, Haven's parents left him and he was forced into wandering; feeding himself on scraps that he could find. Until a day came when he encountered Sialan Righarard, who adopted Haven and took him to his home in the outskirts of Keyes Settlement.
In the years that followed, Sialan taught Haven to fight, believing he could make a hero out of him. He presented Haven with Tirith, a staff with tapered ends that can elongate to about six feet and shrink to a foot in length
