She's having a procedure done that is impacting her health.
How is it impacting her health? By giving birth to another human being? That seems to be a positive especially for her....

The safe haven laws allow women to abandon infants no questions asked. That may not be common knowledge.
They tend to ask to many questions. That young scared people don't want to answer.

But not to scared to leave to die in a dumpster
In hopes of not getting caught. We don't even know the mental issues this person had.

To be clear: You are confused that pregnancy impacts a woman's health.

This idea is foreign and strange to you?

It's pedantic, childish, and most of all weird to argue an abortion isnt healthcare.
An abortion for a fetal or maternal complication/issue is healthcare.

An abortion being done purely to avoid a financial or responsibility burden is something else.

I think you are really reaching here. If I get eye surgery because I have glaucoma the same procedure does not suddenly stop being healthcare because I want my eyes to look clear. Healthcare does not suddenly become something else simply because of the reasoning for the request.
But would you be demanding that the cosmetic/non-necessity version of that procedure be taxpayer funded, and be trying to equate one scenario with another?

With the example you're invoking, I'd say breast implants would be a better example. There are women who get that done because genetic testing has indicated that they have the gene expression that makes it very likely they'll get breast cancer in the future. (I believe Angelina Jolie was one who did it for that reason)

That would be healthcare.

An OF model with b-cups who wants to get double-Ds because she thinks it'll create a better revenue situation for her channel, is not a healthcare issue.

So now we're comparing a OBGYN check-up (to make sure there's no complications, testing hormone levels, etc... to make sure the pregnancy is going well) to an elective termination of a pregnancy for reasons of "I wasn't careful, and now I'm in college and pregnant, and I don't want that responsibility yet"?

I think he's talking about the fact that women can have all kinds of complications and so can baby as I'm sure you know. Thats why they do preventative stuff and checkups.

But I dont want us to get caught up and get distracted by other arguments. Abortion is not healthcare. Sure it's a medical procedure, but generally has nothing to do with the mothers health. It's about the fact that the mother doeant want the child. So she gets rid of it by a medical procedure.

We've come to the place where we have convinced people that the life within a woman has no value. We are now seeing the consequences that. Because if that human inside her has no value and she thonks of it that way for 9 months then it's possible she won't see it having value after it's born and just get rid of it.

Despite doing a clean up, I am locking this thread before folks cross the rule regarding abortion. There is goading that would cause that.
