Have you gotten a vaccine shot?

That's interesting was it the Johnson and Johnson vaccine? You're the first person I know who has gotten that one. Please keep us posted on your reaction.
Yes, that's the one!
Basically I've just had chills, body aches, and now a mildly sore arm where the injection took place. They told me I would probably feel this way the day after. If it's like others' reactions, I should be feeling normal by tomorrow.

Doesn't sound fun! When I get chilled and can't get warm, a hot bath does the trick. Hope you feel better soon.
My jab was a week ago now, and after intense shaking and shivering for hours afterwards, ( muscle spasms ) I felt a bit better the next day, but still feel shattered by moderate exertion, this was a real surprise to me as nobody I asked had any side effects at all till I put it out on F B, then discovered many people were knocked out for a few days, if you haven't had it yet, I would advise making contingency plans if you are taken badly, stock up on day and night flu remedies as sleeping may be difficult, and don't make any plans you can't get out of, hope you have better luck than me!!

I am feeling much better this morning, as predicted.

Got my second dose of Moderna yesterday. Felt flushed for a few hours (maybe had a slight fever?) but besides that no side affects. My arm isn't even very sore. I did take the "cocktail" I mentioned in Post #19, but don't know if that helped or not. Overall the shot itself and the side affects were less for me than a regular flu shot. I hate the ideas of shots and in fact can't watch all the news coverage of people getting shots without cringing, but it really didn't hurt at all. For those who are thinking of taking the vaccine, I wouldn't hesitate.

The day after my first shot (Moderna) my arm was achy and I felt like I might be coming down with the flu. Took an Air Bourne went to bed and woke up with only the achy arm as a result. My second shot is scheduled for April 10th.

I'm with you, I hate needles too! In fact I can't even watch all the T.V. on people getting shots and not cringe. However, I have to say the shot I got (Moderna) hurt less than any shot I've ever had, when they give it. Also don't look! It really wasn't bad at all.

Im exactly the same and dont laugh but I usually ask for infant needles since they are less scary looking.

There may be other threads on this but, I haven't seen them. I thought it would interesting to know who has gotten a shot, which vaccine and their experience. I'll start. :)

I got the Moderna Vaccine about 3 weeks ago. I had a sore arm and felt a bit rundown for a day, but really no other side affects. (Not nearly as bad as the Shingles shot.) I will post again, after the second dose, which is supposed to have more side affects. The hardest part was trying to schedule the vaccine, it was quite the challenge!
No and I don't want it.

There are some people who are reluctant, many of whom have a BAME background. Some Muslims believe it may contain pork. There are some who believe the vaccine was developed using cells from aborted foetuses. Some are distrustful of authority.

I do not think anybody believes it is a 'fake cooked up by Biden and China to make Trump look bad'. From our perspective Trump looks bad anyway.

Absolutely nobody here believes rubbish such as this: 'the vaccine is being imposed on us to make us submissive to the rule of the Antichrist during the great reset'.
How do you know what everybody here believes? That is kind of audacious isn't it? I am not getting it because I don't want it.

Of course I don't know what everybody believes. That would be silly. I know that some people have expressed these views. Our media are full of such reservations.

If you don't want it that is fine up to a point, but a bit selfish. I take the view that the immunity provided by vaccines is the main - probably the only - route for all of us out of the pandemic.

Hardly selfish when it takes 10-15 years to come up with a safe vaccine with the long term effects known. This thing coming out in a year tells me A- it was planned and they had this thing ready to mass produce and ship out worldwide or B- it isn't safe and we are the guinea pigs and won't know the long term effects until it is too late. Uncle Sam does not love us and for big pharma, who only cares about money which is obvious in the price hike on insulin, is pumping this out for free, there is a reason and I bet it is not one at face value. Politics are criminal, and if everyone else gets vaccinated then who am I hurting by not getting it? Myself so I don't see the problem
