Have You Found Your Purpose In God?

it took many years to find what God wanted from me. everyone becomes an example. the first half of my life was a bad example. it cost me a lot here on earth, but it also led m to an understanding of how and why men fail in our relationship with God, our families and others. now my purpose is to work with men. some that have fallen, some that think they can't. because of things i have done and things i suffered as a result, i have been able to help others not to follow in my past mistakes, or to help them out of the hole they have already fallen into. so far there are only 17 of us but all of us want a better relationship with our Father. thru the teachings of Jesus and his apostles, a better relationship with our families, and others. to live in love, and to attain the character of Jesus in all we do. that is the purpose God has given me. and i am still learnig more everyday.

Glory To God

I know what, but God hasn't revealed how yet. But, He has put people in front of me to demonstrate how I should not do it. I do know that He is putting the tools in my hands now so when the how is revealed, I'll be ready to go.

I applaud you for many reasons and in many directions.. Glory To God.. One for being the witness to say hey I have failed or fallen.. Yes I have too.. When we fail we get back up again.. and stand..In God.. and we do witness to others so they can overcome.. that obstacles.. If we didn't have an experience how can we understand where an individual is coming from.. Glory To God.. Witnessing and Helping..Is powerful..

All The Glory Belongs To God Forever!

Here goes but I am not sure any will like the answer....at first. :)

Our purpose, all of ours, is to be conformed to the image of the Son. it is to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. it is to lose "our life", to step off our throne and let Him be Lord as well as savior. It is to become living sacrifices, with Him the potter, the house builder and we the clay, the house. It it to walk with the world, the flesh and the devil under our feet as we stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has set us free. It is to overcome. So, how are we doing?

When it bothers us that we are far, far from this goal, so far in truth that it is not even taught as possible, let alone our "reasonable service", we will see a hroken church arise from the ashes of religious service and become the people of God who are genuinely free. Free indeed.

Without spot or wrinkle. THAT is our purpose. It is also where we are all headed. Buckle your seatbelts, it is about to get good.

Blessings,

Gideon

That was interesting Gideon, I have a question about what you said please.

I wrote a while ago: http://www.christianforums.com/t7732456-4/#post62697317

Do you think that there are significant signs today?

I like that toolite, I understand that when Jesus came to this earth he had many purposes to accomplish, but what about us? Do you think that we are able to focus on many purposes in our life especially if the purposes are completely different from each others? Wouldn't one purpose elminate another at the end?

I don't concern myself with it, truthfully. I think this guy sums up my belief on this matter:

"The secret to finding out God’s plan for you life isn’t to keep asking God to tell you the plan. It’s to get in the freaking car and go. It doesn’t matter where God is taking you. Just go."

God has blessed me with MANY talents! I feel as though I'm still learning what I am suppose to do (although I am still young, only a freshman in college), but do believe there is a big plan in store.

Do you mind sharing some of those talents?

Healing, casting out spirits, and simply talking about God are something everyone can do! I have faith in all 3 and see them manifest quite regularly. If your heart stays close to the Spirit of God, with the words of Jesus in your heart, believing and trusting that what He says will come to pass and that His word never returns void you can see these things too. I just mentioned that because since the Holy Spirit lives in all of us, and God is who does these things anyway, we can all do these things through Him.

But the most important is to love. Whatever you do, do it in love. When you're operating in love, God does amazing things through you.

My purpose is to be a great husband, the best father I can be, serve God with my gifts and talents and be available when God calls me for something specific.

My Pastor always says this: ' To know your purpose you have to connect with the God of the purpose'

The gift I hope to have while in this lifetime is the ability and capability to love God to my fullest capacity.

Sometimes I see glimpse of the gift God has bestowed upon me, it was manifesting even before I was truly born again. And after He saved me, outwardly I am more or less doing same, but there was the inward change - I am not the same person - now a new creature. I think my gift runs along God's gift of 'generosity' not only in material things but in other aspects of life.

I must admit I come from a family that pride itself to be self-sufficient which can be naturally seen as a good thing - pride. But from my very early years I was in a way segregated and grew in circumstances that differ from my other siblings. From a very proud teenager, God has molded me little by little for many many years using my circumstances, I daresay they were very difficult times.

To look at me now, one probably may think it an impossible change. But we are the clay and He is the potter. I think it is a great gift God has bestowed upon me - how I am now. Only He could make the impossible possible. From a very very bossy & proud person to a person that expresses Christ's free generosity and maybe humility to others in my day-to-day living. I can say that even now I experience His molding through my present situations.

There are still many things to learn as a born again, I get a little glimpse of this and a little glimpse of that as the days go by. Maybe one day I will fully understand all.
