Have you ever been shocked by the depth of your own depravity or your own selfishness?

Sometimes I am. It's like you get a glimpse of yourself as other people see you and as God sees you and you are shocked by how bad you are?

I'm really grateful for that, but I'm even more grateful that God came as Christ to take all that away from us!

Have you ever been shocked by your own sinfulness?

I have to admit I've been shocked by the things God has shown me. I asked him to open my eyes to all the ways I've gone astray, and wow! what a shock. I'm glad he opened my eyes to these things though, else how would I be able to change them.

Yeah...I struggle with selfishness from time to time. When God shows me exactly how messed up my thinking is, I can't believe I let it happen!
