Revelation 7
"Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, 'Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?' And I said to him, 'Sir, you know.' So he said to me, 'These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
His blood and their blood for a white robe. Maybe the washing is by our blood (works in the Spirit) and the bleaching is by His blood.
Revelation 6:11
"Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both
the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they
were, was completed."
Their own blood (works in the Spirit) for a white robe.
Revelation 19:13-15
"He
was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."
His blood (His Spiritual Work) for His own robe...washed and bleached (made white)
It seems that one must first be bloodied (Spiritual Works) before receiving the white/clean garments.
What comes to mind is a kind of "paying it forward" in blood.
Of course, He is the Firstborn among many brethren, and we are to follow after.
Romans 8:36
"
it is written: “ For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."
So, our garments are not to just be washed by our own blood (Spiritual Works), but whitened (bleached) by His blood (His First Work).
We have to carry the torch.
