Probably not, they pray on fear. It would be like playing Harry Potter for your congregation. Although the members could enjoy a haunted house, it would not be appropriate for a church to conduct one. 1 John 4:18
Maybe... Perhaps just for the sake of earning money...
But they shouldn't partake in it as unbelievers do -- their heart shouldn't be in it. "Just doing a job attitude", not to have fun in a pagan tradition.
There is an idea floating around to change Halloween to the last Saturday of every October. While I doubt it will fly, there are a few reasons
One, parents can spend a Saturday night with the kids and not have to rush in to bed for work or school the next morning. Also this will give us a full day to set up for the night
And some can turn it into an entire weekend event
Halloween is my second favorite holiday after Christmas.
As it is, I have been accused of going overboard with my displays and decorations. I take the day before, of and after off work to finalize everything. We are already making props and animatronics
I would love a Saturday Halloween. I would love a "Halloween Weekend" to go all out. But, I go all out already and will regardless of the day.
