No. Christians do not walk in darkness.
Why would they love unrepentant sinners?
There is a vast difference between judging and relaying the truth, my friend:
1 John 2: 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,”
1 John 1:6 - If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
1 John 2:3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
1 John 3: 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
Thankfully Christ said that if we repent and confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us of them.
“Surely no rebel can expect the king to pardon his treason while he remains in open revolt.” Spurgeon
2 Corinthians 6:4 -For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?Who said anything about walking in darkness? My friends are Christians. They're also homosexual. I'm Christian. I'm also bisexual. We're not walking in darkness. We're walking in Christ's light.
I have the truth, my friend. The Bible is full of truth. No, there is not. You are human just like the rest of us and are no more in possession of the truth then any other.
Crowed tens of thousands of denominations in union while making mutually exclusive claims.I have the truth, my friend. The Bible is full of truth.
Shout it from the rooftops! Christ is truth!Crowed tens of thousands of denominations in union while making mutually exclusive claims.
Which one?Shout it from the rooftops! Christ is truth!
2 Corinthians 6:4 -For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
You are a fallible human being just like the rest of us. That you feel strongly about your religion does not change this fact.I have the truth, my friend. The Bible is full of truth.
That may be, but Christ is still the truth, my friend. You are a fallible human being just like the rest of us. That you feel strongly about your religion does not change this fact.
In closed-door speech, Jeff Sessions tells right-wing group religion is under attack
The ADF: “specializes in supporting the recriminalization of homosexuality abroad, ending same-sex marriage and generally making life as difficult as possible for LGBT communities in the U.S. and internationally.”
This doesn't sound like a very loving or tolerant group of christians who accept their neighbors. And it certainly doesn't sound like rational and reasonable discourse for a group living in a SECULAR nation.
a SECULAR nation.
The SPLC is, without a doubt, both a hate group and a perversity group, and has strong ties to domestic terrorism. The SPLC Is taking on the dimensions of a hate group, would it be too much to ask that they base their accusations on some kind of an actual fact?
The first two are matters of perspective, the third is going to need supporting evidence. The SPLC is, without a doubt, both a hate group and a perversity group, and has strong ties to domestic terrorism.
Well I read it and it seems ok to me, there is nothing hateful or even mildly derogatory in it. What is more the group he is speaking to hardly seems hateful because they are opposed to gay marriage and consider same sex unions to be perverse. They are legal and political activists. In case anyone is interested the article mentioned there is a copy of the assumed comments by Sessions.
Floyd Corkins. The first two are matters of perspective, the third is going to need supporting evidence.
I think they went way over board calling the, Alliance Defending Freedom, a hate group. The list some of the founders as, 'James Dobson of Focus on the Family; Bill Bright of the Campus Crusade for Christ; D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries (now D. James Kennedy Ministries)'. These are well known evangelical ministers who don't have a hateful bone in the bodies. Now it's considered hateful to have religious and moral objections to same sex relations? Looks like they just don't like evangelical Christianity. The first two are matters of perspective, the third is going to need supporting evidence.
Who?Floyd Corkins.
