LOL, the Westboro Baptist Church. I don't think so....Stop calling things wrath! I know you are from the Westboro Baptist Church in disguise! We are living in the Age of Grace, stop with this "wrath of God" crap.
Do what? You are saying that homosexuality was never mentioned in the Bible? Well, that's just a big old lie.a loving monogamous, same sex relationship wasn't even in existence till like 1869 as a recognized thing. It would not be mentioned in the Bible, just like slavery is clearly condoned all throughout Scripture...historical context...
I said HOMOSEXUAL relationships weren't even present till then. Why are you twisting my words with your post?Do what? You are saying that homosexuality was never mentioned in the Bible? Well, that's just a big old lie.

I changed my post, sorry.I said HOMOSEXUAL relationships weren't even present till then. Why are you twisting my words with your post?
In your opinion only. I would argue that most of the references that conservatives insist are about homosexuality are actually about temple prostitution or pedarasty. There are many loving relationships. That does not mean that all sexual relationships are condoned by God. I am no more "preaching" to gays than I am to any other person. Sex before marriage is a sin. (One I committed) Sex outside the bonds of marriage is a sin. There just is not getting around that. It is Scripture. It is not about historical context. It is not about the law. It is about the bonds of marriage.
Sorry, but homosexual couples do not meet the requirements as set forth by God from the beginning. Therefore, they are outside the bonds of marriage, and sexual relationships are sinful. I am not judging anyone. I do not make the rules. I am just saying that you cannot get away from it. It is the Word of God. Either you believe it or you don't, but there it is.

Yeah, at least it's an opinion of honesty, although it's still pretty darn arbitrary.
It truly is. There is no reason for a lesbian or homosexual person to have to live a celibate lifestyle. They live happy and fulfilling lives when they are in a committed, loving relationship. Furthermore, there are many Christian Churches that embrace homosexual couples, and don't call their acts "sins". God doesn't make up arbitrary rules, they all have a deep, purpose. Not arbitrary at all. It was with much seeking the face of God that I came to this conclusion. I have a dear friend who is a lesbian, and when I became a Christian, I needed guidance on how I should behave around her. I didn't want our friendship to change, but I was afraid that it would. My answer was: It is a sin for me, but it is not my place to condemn anyone else.

What purpose? we know all the purposes of all the other sins, they are clearly obvious. My opinion is not arbitrary. Again, it was hard won and I stand by it. I also do not think that the laws of God are arbitrary. There is most definitely a purpose in denying sexuality between same sex couples. If we do not know that purpose, that does not make it arbitrary.

So did you turn your friend away from lesbianism?
There isn't any cure for this, and as I said, I don't see the reason for it...yes, it's up to God whatever law is a law, but I don't see how He would have any problem w/a loving, same sex, monogamous relationship (not mentioned in Scripture)I said we do not know all the purposes of God's laws.
I did not try to turn my friend. She knows what I believe. It is all good between us.

Yes, I understand, if I was in your shoes, I would probably be advising the same way.Sorry, D. I see how He can have a problem with it. Perhaps I am wrong. If you know Christ, and this is the answer He has given to you, stick to your guns. I can only do what I believe is right for me, and you have to do the same.

Well, it doesn't explain much...homosexuals fall into a very small minority of the population, and we don't have attraction to the opposite sex. There is absolutely no Biblical explanation for this.We ARE in the same shoes. My sin is no different than yours. My sin is anger and a lack of love. I am not "cured" of it either. I have been forgiven, and I am trying my best to do as my Father in Heaven desires of me. I have changed a great deal, but sometimes, I still hurt people that I love. Y'all see the best of me here because I am not as involved emotionally, but believe me, I have alot to still overcome.
