Has anyone truly saw an Angel?

I have never seen one. Usually the only people who actually see angels or demons are people with discerning of spirits.
But I have felt them enter and leave a room. This includes the direction from where they entered. Two of the most memorible events was once in a prayer meeting, and once while I had been praying in tongues for about 6 hours.
I do think they walk in our midst appearing as normal human beings. I have no doubt that everyone has seen angels, and just did not know they were angels.

NOW IT IS MY BELIEF BRETHREN AS WELL AS MANY A BIBLE STUDENT THAT THESE 3 MEN CONSISTED OF 2 angels and the pre-incarnate christ.

hence verse 13 says this " and the lord said"

genesis 19 also accounts of two men appearing to lot as angels

yet again in genesis and chapter 32 we have the account of jacob wrestling with an angel until the breaking of the day !

skip down to verse 30 and we read this "and jacob called the name of the place penial: for i have seen god face to face, and my life is preseved.

once again most students of the word and i agree with this view....say that this angel here in genesis 32 was the pre-incarnate christ !!

cuz jacob says i have seen...... god face to face.

now just harken back to paul words in hebrews about strangers being angels unawares....and you realize it wasn't until these men had left the scene in most instances-- that it dawned on the person that they had had this "angelic encounter" !! glory

now at the risk of sounding like im boasting i re-call vividly in 1988 having an encounter with 3 men....the nature of this conversation and the direction it went in, led me to believe i had had a similiar experience to some of these men in the old-testament .

but it did not dawn on me until we had gone our several ways that this indeed was a (hebrews 13:2) type of incident !! glory to god in the highest !


it matters not to me...if anyone doubts this or dis-believes what i descibe here, i know in my heart of hearts it was a supernatural occurence, and no one can take this away from me !!

this does not happen every day in the life of believer, how-ever according to paul's own words.....strangers are sent in disguise as angels....and so paul warns to be entertaining and hospitable towards the stranger, or else you may miss the divine opportunity, for a divine encounter like jacob !!

having said that we are not to chase after this experience, god does it and deems it, at his own discretion and leisure !!

i share not this encounter to in any way bragg but to encourage you to reflect and think back on some of your encounters with strangers and perhaps it might dawn on you...that this indeed may have very well been a divine supernatural encounter sent from heaven ! glory glory

In Europe I think we did on several occasions; usually in a position where we needed help ex. stranded and we were in a little German town, and some guy seemingly drives up out of nowhere with a white car, speaks English, and has what we need. Another time was when I got left behind in a train station and some smiling guy comes up to me and speaks in English and helped me. Now I know a lot of Europeans can speak English, but it was interesting that English was the language they used.

I have. I woke up to go to the restroom and the middle of the night and when I walked back into the bedroom there was a woman figure standing there and she said"do not be afraid" and I was not scared anymore. Then she said" Everything is going to be alright". I was going through alot in my life at that time and I prayed hard that night. I woke my mom and told her and described what she looked like and my mom said I described my grandmother whom I have never seen.

Well lets see, what did they look, big or small, ya see i get exicted even more when i think upon heaven and everything thats going to be soooo unlike anything wev'e ever seen or can imagine, why would you not tell that could always build up someones faith

He had a white Robe on and His hands had these really really deep gouges, that's the only detail I remember that vividly, but His eyes were these magnificent shade of blue and I think some green was in them too. His hair was kinda long, but not really, not like down to the shoulders or anything. He had this really really sad look and I guess that's what made me cry. He wasn't standing on my floor His feet were just kinda hovering an inch or two off the ground. He never said a word throughout the whole thing though. That's what bugs me the most, why didn't He speak. Oh His face was I dunno how to describe it really unlike any other face I've ever seen.


Oh and another tidbit, I think I may have seen either Satan himself or a demon a loooooong time ago, before I was saved or shortly after that.

I've seen them different sizes. Some I've seen were about 9 feet tall, some were about 40 feet tall, and one was well over 100 feet tall (a 50 ft tall building came up to his waist). I've also seen one that appeared as a little old lady, then disappeared.

that's correct QUAFFER often men and women in the bible were totally awestruck and overcome by a sense of the fear of god AFTER ONE OF THESE ENCOUNTERS !

To have this self realization that you came face to face with an angel sent from heaven, or an angel that simply appeared in human form--is no small matter.

Therefore a great sense of foreboding and reverence toward the almighty is often what follows these experiences.

It is an experience one never ever forgets and you live in a state of awe before your creator !

Also it heightens if i can use that word, your awareness of the presence and ministry of angels in the earth

Incidently the devil quoted this very verse to jesus in what is known as the temptation in the wilderness before he began his earthly ministry ( as it were ) how-ever the devil was qouting scripture to entice jesus to abuse it's intended boundary...the devil wantes jesus to go out-side the parameters and boundary of scripture, by way of abusing god's gaurdian care through angels

For eg you can have the irresponsible belief that is alright for your CHILDREN to talk to just anyone ...and god will protect them, after all he does have his gaurdian angel watching over my kids...therefore im not worried if all manner of stranger's appproach my 5 year old daughter at the playgrounds.

You see god does protect but we must fulfil human responsibilty and not be presumptous TOWARDS god PROTECTIVE HAND !

Therefore believing in god's provision FOR divine protection does not afford us the right to be negligent and careless-- and not assume certain HUMAN responsibilities.

In all but one scripture reference, angels are referred to in the masculine tense. While I forget where it is right now, there is one reference to an angelic being that uses the feminine tense.

And also in reference to original poster, I have seen angels that looked just like me and you and it was like the oddest thing and so cool. It is like there is a presence about them and they show up in the most totally cool times and then the next minute they are gone... I don't imagine them because other's see them too. I never knew what to call this and then I read the passage of scripture be careful because you could be entertaining angels unaware and then I thought of all those times that stood out that I knew God sent those instances in my life. I have never seen a winged-angel

Don't worry. I've seen a horrendous looking demon too.

It gave me a fear of being alone in the dark forever!

An angel appeared in a dream a couple of days after I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I saw myself lying in my bed facing the door to my room. The door burst open and here stood this strapping masculine figure wearing...

overalls.

Yes, that's right, overalls. Anyway, he had a sickle in his hand and he said, "It's time to get to work." This startled me awake and I was facing the door as if he had just came in and left. I actually got up and looked through the house.

Another angel was also in a dream. Once again, not too long after I was filled with the Spirit. In this dream this angel appeared wearing white and actually had wings. Not a huge thing but the common size for a man. I was also in this dream - well, actually, there were two of me. The new me and the angel were assigned to track down and find the old me. We chased the old me through something that looked like a park or cemetary. It was here, when we caught up with him, that we did the deed. I had an axe and the angel had a big pick (pick-axe). We slew the old me and buried him there in the cemetary.

I have seen other angels in the Spirit simply through meditation. After spending quite some time in contemplation, the invisible realm becomes more visible. This is where I have encountered seeing angels.

Don't worry. I've seen a horrendous looking demon too.

It gave me a fear of being alone in the dark forever!

Remeber, "Greater is He (God/Holy Spirit) that is in you, than he (satan) that is in the world".

The demon can't hurt you, it is only trying to scare you. You have absolute authority over it because of what Christ did for us. Next time tell it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ and it has to obey.
