The idea that Christians should seal themselves off from the world is preposterous. If you want your kids to make healthy decisions, let them experience the world and then have talks about what it all means.

I believe that it is not wrong to read books about sorcery for entertainment. Many people on this forum believe that it is wrong to read these kinds of novels, but in truth I feel as if God does not care if we entertain ourselves with sorcery as long as we believe in Him and His Son Jesus Christ with all our hearts and keep Him as our Savior. In theory as long as you do not actually try and practice magic, sorcery, or witchcraft, you are not sinning. Honestly though, half the spells in the series are just doing things that take longer by hand faster. Many people have also said that these magicians in the series are portraying themselves as greater than God which is not true, God can do much greater things like send His only Son to Earth to live as a human and Suffer on a cross at the hand of God's own people.
