Who had the better night?​

Steve Shepard: All you have to do is check the sound levels on Trump’s microphone from the start of the debate to its end to see that Harris came out ahead. A debate that began with a question that should favor Trump — are Americans better off economically than they were four years ago — quickly turned against the former president. Even when the debate returned to the friendly terrain of immigration, Harris set a trap for Trump that had him talking about the size of crowds at his campaign rallies and fever-swamp tales of abducted pets in short order — and at an increasing volume that made it clear he knew things were not going his way.​

Elena Schneider: Harris won this debate. Her goals for it were clear: Draw a contrast with Trump by casting herself as the change candidate who could move voters into the future. Throughout the debate, Harris spoke directly into the camera, urging voters to “turn the page” on Trump. The former president, meanwhile, primarily focused on the litigating the past, including an extended back-and-forth over whether he won the 2020 election. (He did not.)​

I do think Harris "won" the debate. Not because of any substance involved, just because her game plan was to insult Trump and make him mad, and she succeeded at that. So that doesn't mean her policies are better, or that she'd be a better president, she just scored some points while Trump had an off night. I do think she won, but I don't think she "ate him for lunch" or crushed him or anything like that like so many libs are claiming, I'd score it 4-3 in her favor.

He also didn't do himself any favors bringing up that cats, dogs, and geese story before it had been properly vetted. Now he has to stick with it because he can't (or won't) admit he was wrong.

The hosts were clearly biased towards Vice President Kamala, never once fact checking her lies or pressing her when she didn't even answer the questions given her. The whole thing was rigged to try and make her look good and Trump look bad, in which it only partially succeeded.

The debate didn't really shift voters either way. But the big news was the obvious bias ABC had against Trump in continually fact checking him for which they were often wrong and not fact checking Harris at all. Harris was allowed to get away with obvious lies due to bias.

This has reflected badly on Harris and the Left and further reinforced the perception that the Left is engaging in manipulation of power through the media, lawfare and the manipulation of government power. For which most already suspected.

I mean they did not ask the most obvious question to Harris as to whether she knew that Biden was unfit for government. Whether she lied and gaslight the nation.

Add to this the lack of specifics from Harris's word salads and people are seeing through their charade.

Any person with half a brain could figure out what questions would be asked. The economy, food prices, abortion and healthcare, Gaza, Ukraine, the southern border and immigration - those where the topics.

It was Trump's own fault that he got triggered into making statements about crowd size and that he was fact-checked by the mods after egregious stories that he told.

The fact checkers didn't tell the whole story on that abortion question they butted in on. I don't blame Trump for not wanting to debate again, I don't think any Republican should debate any more really, because they're going to be stuck in these 3-1 situations. Why bother? As for the Haitians eating pets question, I don't think it's possible to get the truth on this any longer, because it has become politicized. Once a question becomes politicized, you can kiss the truth goodbye. It's the last thing people are concerned with.

The police, the city manager, the mayor, and the Governor of Ohio have weighed in and said that pets are not disappearing . J.D. Vance even flubbed up on Sunday and told the truth to Dana Bash that he and Trump created a story. The original post on X that inspired this creation was written by a women who later found her cat in the basement. An image frequently shown as proof was actually taken in an entirely difference city with no proof if the man was Haitian or not.

In the meantime, while Trump and Vance push the story in order to get the discussion off his bad debate performance, the city of Springfield has to put up with bomb threats. The Governor had to sent in the National Guard to help out.

The city is not destroyed as Trump claimed. It is thriving with the immigrants there to work. They do need more primary care facilities.

Trump needs to be fact checked for obvious reasons. You can't take him seriously, so you have to challenge him on just about everything he says.

So does Harris, like Biden has no cognitive problems and is fit for president. The moderators should have asked Harris about such an obvious question we all wanted to know the answer to. But they didn't ask because they were biased in favor of Harris.

If the moderaters were fair and it was an even handed debate then Harris and her supporters would not be so smug. Its easy to claim victory when its 3 against 1 and the ABC is in collusion with the Left to bring down Trump.

But I think thats the real story of the debate that exposed the lies and manipulation of the Left in using the system to manipulate power. That coming from a party that claims they are for democracy is hypocritical. People hate hypocrites.

LOL Harris draws large crowds. More people watched the DNC than the RNC.
And there was a huge amount of people who watched the Unite For America online rally with Oprah Winfrey last night.
