The DNC was much more fun to watch. But there was also a great deal of enthusiasm. Harris is reaching out and making it a big tent party.
The event last night didn't have music and I am sure the right tried to find all the fault they can. However, it was watched by many and motivating for the people who support her candidacy.
The right is throwing this claim of 'word salad' as if it describes Harris. Nope - that is a Trump skill. Take word phrases, throw them in a bowl and talk in the order they come out of the bowl. He even tries to cover it as if it is intended.
Some recent examples:
On Thursday September 5, Donald Trump presented remarks at the Economic Club of New York. After his remarks he answered several questions from the panel and Reshma Saujani, the founder

“If you win in November, can you commit to prioritizing legislation to make child care affordable, and if so, what specific piece of legislation will you advance?”
Trump's exact words in response:
“Well, I would do that, and we're sitting down, you know. I was, somebody, we had Sen. Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka, were so impactful on that issue. It’s a very important issue.
“But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about, that — because, look, child care is child care. It’s, couldn’t — you know, there’s something, you have to have it. In this country, you have to have it.
“But when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that I’m talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they’re not used to, but they’ll get used to it very quickly. And it’s not going to stop them from doing business with us, but they’ll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country.
For having gone to Wharton school of Business, he doesn't seem to know how tariffs work. How they work? - China sents a fancy new TV to Costco - Costco has to pay the tariff - Costco then decides how much of the tariff gets paid by the consumer. How does that help child care costs? It doesn't.
More word salad:
Donald Trump has faced criticism for discussing America's consumption of bacon when asked about the cost of living at a campaign event on Thursday.

The
Republican presidential nominee embarked on a rant about the higher cost of living at the town hall event in La Crosse after a college student asked him what he would do "to make life more affordable and bring down inflation."
"You take a look at bacon and some of these products... Some people don't eat bacon anymore," Trump said.
"And we're going to get the energy prices down... You know, this was caused by their horrible energy. Wind. They want wind all over the place. When it doesn't blow, we have a problem."
I imagine Scoby-Do going "huh?'
