  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Isolation without a chance of meeting with your own kind is not a fair example of what happens naturally.
You aren't talking about wild animals, you are speaking of domestic animals. It is not uncommon for domestic animals to try to initiate sexual relations with other species of domestic animals. After all, it isn't "natural" for wild canines to consider humans their pack leaders, but it certainly very natural for domesticated dogs.

Because you only spoke of a human "marrying" a goat and of human/dog relationships.

Anyway, just because something isn't "natural" for wild species, doesn't mean that it isn't natural for domesticated species. You said that:
Animals know by instinct that you do not cross species.
But this is only true of wild species, since domesticated animals obviously do not follow such instinctual behavior (if it indeed, does exist - I believe that you are misreading multiple different instinctual behaviors that exist only in certain species). As such, I claim that your general statement is not, generally, true of domesticated species.

I will repeat that those animals that have either been isolated from their own species or sexual perpetrated by humans are those that you can point to who are not following their instinctive behavior.... I was born and raise on a farm and am very familiar with true domesticated species and given the opportunity they naturally mate with their own species.

I was born and raised in farm country (though we just had a "zoo" of dogs, cats, rats, gerbils, geckos, and turtles, no farming *wink*). Generally, human beings also mate with their own species as well.

But there are variants within all domestic species, that will attempt to mate with other (usually also domestic) species. And sometime even have offspring, like mules! I assume, being a fellow "country cousin", you do know that mules are the sterile offspring of a horse and a donkey (two different species!).

And it turns out, it isn't unheard of for wild animals to try to mate with other species. It seems that moose sometimes try to mate with horses. Also, Grizzly and Polar Bears can mate and produce live offspring (in zoos and in the wild)!

You do realize that "slippery slope" is the name of a logical fallacy?

I watched the commercial, and shrugged. It is no different than a Frat Pledge who has a carp put in his underwear, dropped off on the highway, and forced to hitchhike home.
It isn't beastiality with the carp, because it is in his underwear. It's about humiliation.

To suggest that people are going to see a guy married to a goat and equate that with, "Well, if it makes them happy" response from people in general, or worse, to suggest that part of the bet is that he will have to have sex with the goat, only puts what is in one's mind and heart onto the commercial, and reveals more about the accuser than the accused.

ohhh that is so sick... most animals know better than that.. unless they have been mistreated [in a sexual manner]. Animals know by instinct that you do not cross species.

You clearly never have awned a male dog. They cross the line between animal and non-animal. Oh and they are all 'gay'. (Actually mounting is a dominance behaviour, not purely sexual with dogs).

So apart from it being sick (which is just a matter of opinion really), and now it has been pointed out that animals do indeed cross species even when not isolated by humans, what is wrong with it again if both human and dog is willing?

Also dominance behavior. If she has other "bad" behaviors (going to the bathroom in the house or nipping people), you might want to stop her from doing that. Though, I will admit, I find female dog humping to be pretty funny. Also, female rat humping (also a dominance behavior) which my rats used to do pretty regularly.

The only time she "nips" is me at night if I bother her, however its only when she's grumpy. Other than that she's very sweet and docile. I guess you'd consider her play fighting nipping too, however thats not meant to be painful, and its not really biting its more like "oh my dog teeth are gently touching your hand", lol. She's not the dog that tries or wants to hurt. Very loving. She doesn't pee in the house unless no one is here to let her out, other than that she tried to jump out of a speeding boat once to do her business so she's pretty well trained that way too. Her humping behaviour mainly occurs when I use a certain blanket (one I sleep with everynight) its the only time she humps is when I'm covered in that blanket.

Just to give you a better image of my dog's temperament though lol we asked the vet and she didn't really know other than maybe hormones. Anyways, here's a photo of my sweet girl, her name is Remington by the way. :p
