• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Im entering quarter 3 of nursing soon and i feel mentally im unravelling.

Im scared of medication bc i dont want to deal with lethargy when i have assignments do, flat emotions when i have to be around people all day and just trying to adjust to meds.

I feel my panick attacks are coming back. I cant sleep tonight and i worry so much.

I’m so sorry. It is a pain.

Isa 41:10
1Tim 1:7
Phil 4:4-end
2Cor 10:3-5

say the fear scriptures till you believe them. If you don’t let your mind wander too much or when a sad thought comes around take it captive and replace it. We learned today about making your salvation day to day. Gives us some freedom and choices to make it good. What you confess comes true.

Im so proud of you for how far you’ve gone. You just need to rest and gather your wits and go forward with a good hopeful attitude. How has it gone so far. See what your capable of with the lord. Keep praying too.

i pray you would refresh this young lady, seeking to be a nurse, refresh her and give her hope in all you have for her. A new life awaiting. Please increase the strength and the clear mind with memory. Help her to put it all together and use this knowledge. I pray she masters it and aces it. Please bless her coming from low to go to the heights you would have her at. In Jesus Name. Amen.

It's been a few weeks since you posted this, I hope you're feeling better than you were. I'm sorry you've been going through this. You're going through a tough program, and it's expected that there will be stress, so I want to say that on some level it's normal. Sometimes it can be reassuring to hear that, because many others in school are also struggling. But if you feel like it is too much, you could look to lighten your class load, if possible. There are many people who need to do that, or who take a break from school for a while if their mental health is really suffering. There's no shame in that. Your health is more important. Do you have someone you can speak to, such as a counselor or a loved one, who can help to support you through negative thoughts?

I pray you have healing and peace.

I'm starting to realize I have some symptoms of OCD. I know I most likely need meds before it gets worse. I wasn't able to go to 3rd quarter in nursing. I'm upset.. but I'm afraid to take meds.

I'm sorry about the nursing program. It's understandable to be upset, but please remember your health is more important regardless. Why are you afraid to take medication? Have you been on meds before?

God bless.
I haven't. I'm worried of the side effects.
