''Happy'' Slaps

I don't know if yuo have heard of ''happy slaps'' but for those of you who havent its about people just randomly goin up to people and slapping them, whilst being filmed. Anyways, some people in my school have been doin this and they have gone WAY too far!!

This morning our form tutor told us that if anyone sees us with our mobile out it will be taken off them STRAIGHT away and if they have a video recorder on them, they might be given to the police....because filming people doing happy slaps is illegal cus of peadophilia etc...


anyways, i though that was it...but i went to my next lesson and my teacher told me something REALLY disturbing. The reason why the school were taken such action on these ''happy slaps'' is because a new boy in our school was beaten up and filmed, just for fun! and the people who were beating him up and filming him were planning to put it on the internet!! And the boy was sent to hospital and the parents and the headteacher are pressing charges to the people who did it.

Isn't this awful!!! I can not believe people are doing such sick things...and in my school!!

That is really sad, and yes things like this happen on this side of the Pond as well. In fact 20/20 just did a programs about cameras and what people do with them. They showed this really stupid teenager pouring gasoline in a cop car and blowing it up, a guy getting beat up and mugged, oh and who can forget the paintball shootings in LA a few years ago. People who videotape their crimes are really stupid to say the least. What are they going to say in court when the prosecutor shows their videotape? "Uh, that's my twin." Yeah right.

Happy slaps are simply harmless but the behavior you've described is truly sickening...

My friend actually one particular video on his phone where some random guy sleeping on the train gets happy-slapped.

If my children ever suffer at the hands of such imbeciles I will ensure that retribution is carried out, in this lifetime ...by taking the proper legal proceedures of course

What possible entertainment value is there is going up to someone you don't know and slapping their face? How is that funny? Or is it only funny to the people doing the slapping, and not the people actually getting slapped? What obnoxious idiot came up with it? If someone came up to your mother and slapped her, would it be hilarious? As ukok said, if someone slapped your child would you think it a harmless joke? The whole idea of it is absolutely disgusting, and I'm afraid that if someone tried to slap me my human instinct to tear their arm off and beat them with it would probably kick in before my Christian instinct to turn the other cheek.
