Hey.. hope everyone has a blessed day by Gods side.. may he continually uplift your eyes to what he has for you.:)
This is my last post, as I've chosen not to come back to Christianforums on account of its become the most discouraging place out of the places I go online, and I want to work on growing my faith, not tearing it apart. Evidently, here and me clash personalitys somewhat.. anyway.. I'm not here to gripe, just to go.
I sincerely wish you all God's richest blessing:hug:

You know, an honest search for truth is not always a pretty thing to see happen. It can get ugly and it is a painful process, just like giving birth. But the reward for enduring through the labor pains are well worth it! :)

Iron sharpens iron Aceybee, and challenges to ones faith, whether it be from fellow Adventists or former Adventists, can only be a good thing, because it really makes you grounded in your beliefs.

If a person's beliefs are built on shifting sand, better to find out now then to never know.

So, the bottom line is that if you want your faith strengthened, you need to stay here!

I think the best thing for you to do is to stay here and put up threads that will encourage people to draw closer to Jesus.

Will you meet opposition? Of course you will. It was so with Jesus, and it will be as such with those who follow in His steps. Yet, you will be a blessing to many in this way.

Therefore, running away is not the answer. Jesus is the answer. The more we see of Jesus in here the closer we will come to identifying ourselves with Him.

It's not about winning a debate. It's about edifying God's people.

God bless you...

Hi Aceybee,

The strife and quibling that seems to be never ending on most boards, gives us fair warning that we are indeed in the last days of this world's history. In order to "fight the good fight" we must be where the action is. We should put on the whole armor of God and stand our ground. "If God be for us, who can stand against us?"

Please stay around.

Your friend and brother in Christ,
Doc

It's very simple as to how not to have your faith torn apart: don't listen to the idiots who attack it.

One the other hand, our faith is tried in the fire. Pick a subject that you could develop a burning interest in and then study it. In no time at all (ab't a half a year) you'll know more than the critics because all they really read are other critics.

This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think Aceybee is at all "defeated" by wanting to take a break and just concentrate on getting deeper into his/her faith.

What is so wrong with finding a place discouraging and making the adult decision to walk away from the stumblingblock for a while?

I did the same thing once and benefitted from it greatly.

That is NOT to say that I am happy to see Aceybee go, because I'm not.

Personally, I think we should all take breaks from the never-ending debate and just strengthen ourselves with the Lord and the Lord only. When you're immersed in the Word, you don't care what other people are learning, you only care about your OWN relationship with Christ.

People that only feel the need to educate other people are missing some wonderful opportunities just to curl up with scripture and learn what it says over what ANYBODY else says.

Sometimes walking away is good for you, and when you've had that time with God, nothing can move you away from Him.

There's a time to defend and there's a time to grow a stronger relationship.

I commend him/her for their decision and hope to see them back once they feel solid again.

Amen?
