CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How does one get on the birthday list, Alessandro? Is there a calendar or list/post somewhere where I should sign up, 
or are we automatically on the list if we've given our birthday when we registered?
I think you're doing a GREAT job keeping up with this....I had the same job several years ago on a forum and I know how much work it can be!! Keep up the good work, and I'll look forward to the time (many months from now!) when I see MY name in a celebratory thread! Thanks so much!

You can find all the birthdays in the calendar on the top of your screen. When you sign up you put your birthday in and it will show when your birthday comes.

I was wondering if anyone would like to help form a birthday committee? As I don't think that many people come to read this thread we could leave a birthday message/graphic in their guestbook.
I've done that for the day for all bday members who have signed in within the last month, but it might work a bit better if it was a committee of more than one
