I do not know why God created Eve that way. But this book is 3500 years old. NOW Science well tell you that the best place to get the DNA is from the bone marrow. How did Moses know 3500 years ago what Science is just now starting to figure out?

It probably doesn't, if only because blood is so much easier to obtain and contains ****tons of DNA. Of course, why would technical difficulty hinder God, of all things?

Yes a man can make a women but a women can not make a man.
Adam would have his mothers mtDNA. Actually in ever cell of his body.

The difficult question would be the virgin birth of Jesus. Because Mary does not have any Y chromosome as far as we know. There could be some of His DNA on the Shroud of Turin, but right now the Catholic church will not allow them to run any more tests on the shroud.
