Halo2 1.5 million in the US alone!!!!!!

With still 3 weeks left, the game has already shattered the world record for most presales of any videogame.

The previous record was somewhere less than 700,000 for Zelda Wind Waker, or GTA:Vice City.

The game is getting a world wide release, in 7 or 8 different languages.
Just imagine how many copys this game will sell.
I said it a long time ago, this is going to be the biggest game in history.

A friend of mine was told that he couldn't get his game on the first shipment. So he ordered it online.
And I think that is going to happen to alot of gamers.

If it is the same game, and PC comes out later, and xbox now has a mouse and keyboard adaptor, then why is PC better???

It isn't. xbox > pc
Especially with voice, and xbox 3.0 clan system, voice mail, etc.

Whoever uses this is a cheater. A big fat cheater who gets kicks from having hardware supremacy over others. It's lame, and every kill they get is a lie.

Still, didn't GTA: VC get around 4 mil., or something like that? I believe it still outshines Halo 2 by quite a bit.

Not according to the links I saw. Halo2 has shattered the record.
I think GTA:VC did 18 million over all, but that was over time.

And I feel like you, I hated to see the mouse and keyboard come over to xbox.
But my shooting skills are very good, so maybe it won't matter.

I'm goona get this for the PC since I should be getting a newer one soon. I can't buy an Xbox, Xbox live, and all this other stuff for just one game. It's not worth that much to me. It does look pretty cool though.

The Wal-Mart I work at doesn't do pre-orders (although we're supposed to?).

Nov 9th is supposed to be the biggest "sick day" in history.
And who knows if Walmart or any retail store that doesn't do preorders, is going to get any copys.

It is believed that "preorder" stores will not get every copy in. Simply because the demand may out do the supply, by a 2 to 1 margain.

I know of a friend who was told weeks ago, he would not be getting any copys on the first shipment.
And there are reports of 6,000+ copys preordered in the game stores that are located in larger citys.

The most I have ever seen my EB games get in any one videogame, was around 100 for Soul Caliber 2 on all 3 systems.
This is one game, one system, and my EB has more than 700 preordered.

Retail stores that don't do preorders, but do recieve Halo2 on that night, will have waiting lines for many many hours, just waiting for the release.

Yeah, I own two of those copies.

I wasn't even going to get the game (as I figured everyone else would and I could just tag along), but then my church decided to put on a Halo 2 tournament as an outreach event, and I was somehow chosen as one of the guys to organize it.

Anyway, gathering together 16 copies of Halo 2 four days after the launch won't be easy, so I decided to pre-order two.

An xbox is a ps2 killer.

I am doing the same thing at my church.
I was asked to be the game master a few months ago. So I set up the game room and organize tournys and such.
I came up with the Halo2 outreach at my church.
We are going to do about 8 boxs with 8 TV. Some of them are big screen.

The turn out is probably going to be too big for the church to handle, but hopefully online will help some.
