• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think it makes the coffee taste richer, one time I had heavy cream in coffee... way to heavy
I had Vietnamese coffee once. It was the equivalent of espresso filtered through a tiny press that sits on top of the cup, with an inch of condensed milk at the bottom of the cup. When I mixed it up, the condensed milk coated my spoon like peanut butter. It tasted like cough syrup.

Maybe it's time to switch over to tea~~I've taken Earl Grey instead of coffee on occasion~if it's good enough for Capt. Picard it's good enough for me ;)...might be easier on your tum-tum.
earl grey is one of my favorite teas
I also like high quality green from time to time, oolong and earl grey are my standared teas
Rhamiel, try half Twinings Earl Grey and half Orange Pekoe, with just a pinch of Lapsang Souchong. (Loose leaf from metal tins, of course, and properly brewed for three minutes etc...) Tea heaven!! (P.S. and here I was, talking about budgets in the first paragraph...)
I've developed an affinity for Earl Grey lately, mostly because it's the tea they use to make iced tapioca pearl milk tea. :yum: Green tea is good by itself, or with mint. Another interesting tea is Mate (pronounced mah-tay) from South America, nice and fruity. Their cowboys drink it. One of the more unusual, but delicious teas I've tried it Korean Red Ginseng, just pure ginseng. A Korean friend got me hooked on it. And I've tried Twinings, and I personally think it sucks. Tazo may be a corporate product, but it's the only brand I buy.

I love Nestles Quick in my coffee with some milk and sugar on a cold snowy day. And on weekends, I might add a bit of Bailey's too. :)
I knew I loved ya! Bailey's  Now were talkin! I like white Russians, or Bailey's and cream. I have added chocolate to my coffee too, many times, especially at work.

I am trying to kick the habit, I have to admit, I am totally addicted to the caffeine. But I soooo love my coffee. The specialties are yummy. I have some Mackinaw Island Fudge coffee beans to grind for the holidays. You know when special girlfriends come over, or other company. *Sigh* haven't had anyone come over to visit yet, and my BF is not a coffee drinker. Ugh!

Chai Tea is good also, one of my faves. I used to be a big tea fan. Gave many natural health classes on teas for ailments, how to use them in the bath tub for ailments etc... the fun part was sampling them.

Now I switching over to Pero. It is a non caffeinated beverageand is actually pretty good, tastes like a mild mocha.

I love coffee and chocolate and anything with chocolate in it. :)

I wish that I could come on over and have a cup of coffee with you. That BF should learn to drink coffee. LOL

Chai Tea sounds good. I like some green teas too.

I can drink my coffee black and like it, but I prefer just enough half-and-half to turn the color. I rarely actually purchase half-and-half, I usually buy non-dairy creamer. I can't abide sugar and syrups in my coffee as that's a form of coffee heresy. Of course, I was spoon fed black coffee by both of my grandmothers when I was little.

My exceptions: If given the choice of hot chocolate or a mocha, I always go for the mocha as hot chocolate is too sweet. I also will occasionally indulge in adding Bailey's to my coffee, and sometimes even whiskey. :yum:

The first time I tasted Earl Grey I was in Jamaica (A month ago) and I sheepishly asked for iced tea at dinner. The waitress took on the challenge and I had the best darn tasting iced tea I've ever had. They used Tetley Earl Grey with some sugar and alot of ice.

I don't mean to offend hot tea drinkers around the world but I plan on finding as much Tetley Earl Grey as I can and making pitchers of iced tea.

Hey, the Taiwanese put ice, sugar, and big, black, chewy tapioca balls in Earl Grey and created bubble tea, so I think you're in good company.

Anyone seeing on the news the new billboards McDonalds is putting up ?

It is a solid brown backgrounds with this sentance inscribed:
four bucks is dumb, now serving expresso
Of course this is shot at Starbucks that is really hurting right now and I feel for their employees bacause no one is really hiring.

I prefer this for my coffee but I do not buy it very offten because of the price, two years ago it seemed like either me or one of my friends always had half and half, we would take turns going to the other persons place for coffee and a movie, sometimes dinner.
Do they use half and half in Europe?

My mother-in-law, whose son-in-law is a dairy farmer, made eggnog last year. She used fat free half and half to make it. How does that work? Half of what and half of what else?

:sorry:

Needless to say, my brother-in-law was a bit befuddled. Well, just don't tell him we have soymilk in the refrigerator - our son loves the chocolate. Anyway...
