  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I prefer this for my coffee but I do not buy it very offten because of the price, two years ago it seemed like either me or one of my friends always had half and half, we would take turns going to the other persons place for coffee and a movie, sometimes dinner.
Do they use half and half in Europe?

I only use cream in the morning, too harsh on my stomach, noramlly don't drink coffee in the morning, never drink OK, grape juice most of the time
today is an odd day lol, I am just kinda rambling

Maybe it's time to switch over to tea~~I've taken Earl Grey instead of coffee on occasion~if it's good enough for Capt. Picard it's good enough for me ;)...might be easier on your tum-tum.

I agree! It's just like Whiskey, an old Scotsman once told me: "If they wanted something in it, they would have put it in in the factory".;)

See this is so not true. Let's look at the anthropology on this.

Which came first....your taste for black coffee or.....your taste for coffee ice cream? See I think that because our first, natural taste of coffee actually comes from coffee ice cream....it is only logical that our desire for coffee should proceed from the coffee ice cream....not from the black coffee itself.....that is a later, and in my opinion disordered, desire. ;)

Give me milk & sugar, splenda and skim milk, half&half or flavored creamers but give me what I naturally know to be good......warm....coffee ice cream!

I drink coffee black. When I first started drinking coffee I added milk to help me with the taste, that is why I view flavors or milk kind of like I view training wheels on bicycles: for beginners.

A truer statement I've never heard...

Though I will say that I was shamed into drinking my coffee black right after I started drinking it...the girlfriend at the time inquired "if i can drink my coffee black why do you load it up with so much cream and sugar"? Point taken...lol. I very quickly realized that black coffee is - indeed - better.

I have proudly remained off of the cream and sugar bandwagon for about 14 years now. :)

Snooty girlfriend?

If the coffee is truly good - dark-roasted Arabica, freshly ground and properly brewed - it is indeed a pleasure to drink it black. But who has the time and the budget for that? 99% of my coffees are from the office coffee-machine or from the Nescafé jar. Good enough for the caffeine, and good enough for my tastebuds too IF I add milk.

Black Nescafé is undrinkable (IMO).

Rhamiel, try half Twinings Earl Grey and half Orange Pekoe, with just a pinch of Lapsang Souchong. (Loose leaf from metal tins, of course, and properly brewed for three minutes etc...) Tea heaven!! (P.S. and here I was, talking about budgets in the first paragraph...)

I generally like good coffee...I must admit, however, that I also do like Maxwell House. It gets the job done!

I love half-and-half in my (decaffeinated) coffee, although I'm sure it's horrifically unhealthy. Oh well.
