I don't get how keeping yourself groomed is gay in any way (haha that rhymes)... seriously though, i don't think it makes me any less of a man if i have less hair than the guy next to me.. on the contrary, most women either don't care, or prefer less-hairy guys.. i've honestly never met a girl that goes crazy over body hair... lol maybe it's just where i live...

Well grooming, and shaving are different things. Grooming is good and recommended. Shaving, IMO, is pretty metro

I would have to agree. Out of all my friends, I've never heard them go crazy over excessive hair.

Fair enough, but what constitutes excessive body hair? I have the average amount for a Caucasian male. Nobody will confuse me with Sasquatch, but it's more than you will see on most contemporary shirtless models or contemporary Hollywood actors (because they wax). Some people apparently consider the mere presence of body hair to be excessive. When I grew up, it was merely something that men had, to varying degrees. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good, it just was.

I think it goes down to societies trends. Seems like these days hair isn't the "in" thing.

I mean look at girls, majority of them have blond like hair and yet they sill wax at the sight of thin hairs. Same with guys. Butt waxing, leg shaving, no arm hair. This was never around or at least I wasn't aware of this when I was younger. I mean come on, what is with guys waxing their under arm hair?

Hair was hair. Either you had it or you didn't. If so, not a big deal but for some reason it is.

I know of a man who does, though. He wears kilts all the time and has the long socks you wear with them tattooed on his legs.

The only place I'll actually shave is my back as I do have some hair grow back there from time to time. Beyond that I'm hoping that "she" will be willing to take the rest of me for who I am. I mean cmon, do you think I'd get rid of my Angel shaped chest hair?

I have really hairy legs, and I don't shave or wax them. I've forgotten what they look like without hair, so I've been getting the urge to shave or wax them just to see what it looks like.
