  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, my roommate and I were cleaning the gutters yesterday and I was holding the ladder for him and I looked up and there was like practically no hair on his legs. There was some stubble so I figured he had shaved them

Girls: Are hairy legs a turn off/on for you?

Guys: Do you shave your legs or other body hair (don't get too specific lol) in an attempt to look more attractive?

Just letting you know, there is no way I would shave my legs.

I have noticed that young people (<30, so I include my age in it, but it is mostl <25) sem to be much less a fan of hair than older people (>30, especially >40). There are still some who like it, but now most people find it attractive to shave a lot more hair than it use to be.

This even includes guys shaving a lot of hair off, which hasn't been the case much (for guys it has generally just been the beard which should be shaved).

Now I am moderately hairy and currently shave only my beard, but have often not even done that. And I currently have long hair. I think I should probably cut it to attract women more.

I like men who are MANLY. Tall, broad-shouldered, and hairy. I love a full head of hair, beards, mustaches, arm hair, leg hair, chest hair. The only thing I dislike is guys that seem to have this wandering body hair (shoulders, neck, back) .. eeek .. THAT is gross to me.

But yeah. I wish more guys had facial hair, and would love their body hair. I sure love it lol.

Would I date a guy who shaved/waxed .. er .. no.

If I had a reason, a couple of homophobic nobodies wouldn't stop me.

As it is though, I don't swim and I'm not *that* good on a bike that I'd see an increase in performance from less drag.

LOL DRAG LOL I GUESS I'M A HOMO AMIRITE?!?! LOL

Currently my manscaping is head, eyebrows, chest, back, bermuda triangle.

I really don't know when body hair and manlyness started having anything to do with eachother, but our marketing overlords must be very proud of themselves.

Manscaping is fine...it's the complete removal of hair that looks odd to me. Men are supposed to have hairy arms/legs - and preferably chests/stomachs. I used to be a lot more freaked out about back hair, but have relaxed some about that as I've gotten older.

Personally, I have my facial hair and every so often I trim my eyebrows. I cut my right eyebrow when I was 12 (funny story) and the scar is almost invisible under the eyebrow, however it "split" the top of the eyebrow, and it grows a little higher than my left eyebrow. It's not noticable if you didn't look directly at it, but in the mirror I just take care of it and trim it down.

As for "other areas", I don't shave my legs or arms... even though I work out extensively. I know most body builders like to show off their work by shaving their arms, but I don't, never wanted to take the same. My legs and arms aren't really even that hairy compared to some other guys I've seen.

I don't actually have alot of chest hair, and thankfully I don't have ANY hair on my back, which is weird because my dad was pretty hairy. The only problem I have are these little dark-black and long hairs that just kind of pop up randomly from time to time on my shoulders... annoying as heck!

So yes that's my view on hair.

i dont plan on shaving my legs. They are too hairy for it not to grow back, too much time wasted in shaving them. I shave inbetween my eyebrows (i dont remember ever having a unibrow, but i see hair growing there, so i shave it), and trim them because they wouldnt look decent if i didnt. I shave my beard atm because i dont have a beard trimmer to get the look i want, but after that i wont shave it, just use the trimmer.

The only problem I have are these little dark-black and long hairs that just kind of pop up randomly from time to time on my shoulders... annoying as heck!

I get those too. But i have noticed that they are the same length and color of my chest hair, so i just figure there was a slight misconfiguration when that area of development came along. Although its not like the human body is saying "Okay, i have to do this now and then this to look hot."
