  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

They are telling each other that you can be a Christian and still practice other religions. Not only that, but that there are churches that are Christian and include other religions, so the idea is 'not that weird'.

Do people really believe like this or are these bots?

I don't want to believe we're this lost.

Sadly, the answer is both. There are people believing this, and bots also pushing this and the more the bots push it the more people there are that are believing it. As more bots and people push it, the false teachings gain traction and acceptance.

This is the end times, and this is what it entails, people abandoning the truth for anything that "feels good." This is only the beginning really, as there is a great revival and the Gospel will reach the ends of the Earth, but there will be much apostasy trying to deceive as many as possible at the same time.

It’s becoming a thing with some. Ever heard of a Christian witch, Buddhist, Muslim? It’s stupid and its heretical imo. People want the label without the repentance. I’ve posted several articles where people are claiming the faith without following it.

I'm not surprised this kind of content is on TikTok, considering other kinds of content that are allowed on the platform, like showing people how to steal certain cars.

That's awful! Some apps aren't productive at all! :(

Yup. I've heard of "Christian Wiccans" for years. It was popular when Charmed was on. The late Tina Turner, although not a Wiccan/Witch, considered herself a Baptist Buddhist. Whatever that was supposed to mean, eh?

Makes zero sense to me.

I don't use TikTok, never have. I guess I'm too old (I'm 38) because I have always viewed it as something the younger generations use.

I just always use Youtube.com and that's it. I don't even have social media or my own website.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

My niece uses it. She's 14.

Doesn't the Bible tell us that God is the only God in existence? That there are no others besides Him? This is why its so bad that the True Faith is being corrupted by false religions...
Correct. IT's called syncretism, mixing religions and cultures together.

TikTok isn't to blame. You're simply unaware of other beliefs and neglected to inform yourself. Syncretism isn't new and many occult practices co-mingle with christianity. Your premise is false. There are more than 130 million users on the platform and the majority aren't discussing religion nor is it in the top ten of searches. What you're experiencing is the result of your interests and viewing patterns.

I don't use it myself but I do watch videos on YouTube and have an account devoted to religious content and related subjects. I don't see the things you describe because I don't watch them. And when something inappropriate appears under my recommendations I reject it. That's how you train the algorithm.

If you're seeing content or discussions along those lines its the result of engagement. They don't magically appear on their own nor are christians alleging the same en masse. Stop watching it and commenting on threads and the issue will resolve itself.

There is an old and a new covenant.
  • Judaism: direct physical descent through Isaac and Jacob
  • Christians: grafted in through the promise fulfilled in Christ
  • Muslims: claim descent through Ishmael
So in that sense, Abraham is the root of all three traditions.

Yes, Jesus says,

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (in John 14:6)

There are people who believe this, others who don't; and unbelievers can have reasons to interfere with Christian things. Ones do not want morals of the left to be stopped, plus there are ones who are not for Israel.

I would say there can be bots, which can work faster than a human Internet activist.

I turned 39 and started using it for the first time. You'd be surprised how many 40 year old women are on TikTok, looking at all the 30ish something younger male influencers

I also have YouTube, and a recent YouTuber I developed a crush on just broke my heart So, I got off of TikTok and Snapchat both. I also deleted Facebook. Too many of my older friends are there, and they don't do TikTok.

It took me until my early 40s to ever venture over to that side of the internet, and now several of them are set to delete, I should have kept them deleted But, then I would not even know he exists..

There's nothing wrong with watching content that edifies or entertains. But to go beyond that point is unwise and often leads to hardships. Content creators rarely have relationships with their followers that might lead to something meaningful. They'll date one another or someone in a higher income bracket. If they've built a business that allows them to forgo traditional employment in deference to their earnings the likelihood is slim to none.

Everyone making content isn't an influencer and it's important to understand the distinctions in mindset when your income isn't derived from a salary. Their resources aren't fixed like you'd have with a job. Nor is it wholly reliant on sales for influencers. You mentioned YouTube and I'll use that as my example.

They continue to earn money on the videos when they're uploaded no matter the age as long as its monetized. The promotions you see may be one time only or a contract. A video with a promotion has multiple payouts including income from YouTube + the agreed upon fee for the promotion + their commission on sales + additional income they may earn through things they showed or links in the description + private memberships if they use them like Patreon + products sales if they have courses or merchandise.

That's why you rarely hear stories about a woman who met a guy doing such and such online and they got together. They choose people like themselves or IG models and that's the norm. We have to guard our hearts and be wise in our connections. I hope you heal and the Lord brings the one you seek who'll honor you as he should.

Tiktok have nothing to do with age, ^_^ I'm older than you and I use Tiktok but purely for data analytics only using their analytics services. I don't watch any videos in tiktok nor upload content.

The different monetization scheme in titktok resulted to more mindless version of youtube.

We have at least one member! Probably because of the strong similarities between Christianity and some Ancient Egyptian myths and Ancient Egyptians later converting to Islam.

Many similar teachings in Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. Not to mention Brahmas awfully sounds like Abraham. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are Abrahamic religions.

This age is passing away and out comes the new one. The great lies of this age will be exposed.

Your point? What lies? What is it you are referring to? I have read your posts. Are you talking about your loss of faith?

I'm not actually referring to myself but another member here in CF who practices multiple (opposing) religions.

The Bible prophesied the coming age of knowledge. The prophecy is not fulfilled (yet) if people still believe in lies.
