CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had heard that Sora turned into Skeith... or maybe that was someone else. I might watch the series sometime if it comes out in a box set, or I might buy the dvds sometime... I'm not sure yet. I'm already collecting too many series at once. I heard the dubbing wasn't very good. What's you opinion on the dubbing?(just out of curiosity)

Yeah, I heard that too. And I now have some proof of it. Well, very, very, weak proof. In one of the .hack games (Outbreak), you see a message on the boards about people talking about some twin blade with a staff in a certain dungeon, after you get to it Sora pops up, and gives you Sora's Twin Blades (Let me tell you, you can complete Quarantine and still not find any better weapons) basically it's like you free him from Skeith's wand. That's my theory anyway.
I have only Terminus and Outcast DVDs, so I don't have that great opinion on the dubbing. In Terminus, I didn't see too much of a difference. Outcast was also pretty good, but could've been better. But overall, I thought the dubbing was pretty good compared to some other animes.

Is the DVD collection of .hack//sign uncut? Hmm, or is there a way to hear the original voices/voice actors of the show? The dubbing for .hack//sign was pretty well done I'm guessing. One thing for sure, the voice actors for .hack//sign are a lot better than the ones for .hack//dusk.
As for .hack//dusk I still haven't found what udeden means but I know ude means arm, and udekazari means armlet or bracelet, so maybe that has something in common with it...Or maybe not.

I hear that in /SIGN, they use the term "call out" instead of "sign out." That's about all I got from the person I talked to. DVDs are usually uncut. It is VERY rare to have an edited anime DVD. They edited the early episodes of DBZ, and the movies have cut and uncut versions, and the anime KITE is only available cut because some material could be considered illegal.

Yes, I really disliked .hack//Dusk. I thought the voices for the dubbed were pretty good, some people were really upset over Sora's voice though. I don't mind too much. I still like how well the voices were done.
After thought: I have never watched the extra episode, Unison in subbed version. I had to watch it with my sisters in dubbed because they like it better that way, then I had to let someone borrow it... Hmm... I wonder if Balmung still says "This shin-dig looks like the bomb-diggity."

I watched .Hack//Sign when it first started coming out on fansub. As a person who also plays a MassivelyMultiplayer Online Roleplaying game (Neverwinter Nights - Exaria www.exaria.net), this series was quite poignant to me.
Mostly, though, the artistry in the artwork, dialogue, and music was simply incredible. I've been waiting for another series to rise to that standard ever since. If anyone knows any such other series (recent) let me know.
I was a little confused and annoyed at the ending, however...(I won't spoil it, but for those who have seen it, you probably know what I mean). It was profound for those of us who play online games, but a little disturbing because of the whole realism of Tsukasa's circumstance.
