  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

.hack//Outbreak

Has anyone played the .hack series for PS2? Great concept, creating a MMORPG environment in a single player game. I'm disappointed with the combat style though. I was hoping for more of a Chrono Cross/Final Fantasy turn based setting. Instead its a real time hack and slash but base the damage on character stats and dice rolls. You still get all that magic casting and summoning appeal. The camera isn't fixed but is player controlled. It blows. So many times an enemy runs behind me and it takes me forever to turn and look in that direction to target them.

I started with .hack//Outbreak which is the 3rd installation of the game. I read I should go back and play the first two since you can bring all the items and character levels that you gain with you into the 3rd game. I also read you miss out a lot on the storyline and won't get anything out of the 3rd.

On the plus side each game comes with a 45 min DVD of the anime series. I've only played it for a day and wanted to get some feedback from others that have played it. Post here what you think.

God Bless,
Ron
