Gun Control Anyone???

I have some guns.They were handed down to me by my father.I have no intention of useing them against my fellow man.Still, I would not refuse to obey the law,if it said I must give them up.

Yeah... but should the government take them... so many law abiding citizens would basically be turned into criminals. The area I live in is the type of area where guns are very much so needed by way of defense. If I wasn't allowed to have one and the criminal got hold of one I'm done.... cause my little pocket knife ain't gonna help me much

Where is our faith?Are we not saved?Why do we fear?Christianity isn't the cakewalk it's been made out to be from todays pulpit.Shure, I'm scared of the boogyman.But I have a little faith,and pray for more.I know that the day and the circumstances of my death are known by God.I don't believe I have any say in the matter.God has promised if I have faith,I will be saved.I believe that promise,and pray for the necessary faith.Frankly, I doubt that any law will be passed that says I must give up my guns.At least as long as were a democracy here in the US.

i really dont like guns, not even alittle. just my bias. it scares me that it is law to have a gun in some places. yeah i have used guns, rabit control and such on farms. but i hate them so much, and eveything to do with them. i hate all weapons, pointless things that are designed to take or harm life. hahaha so im a pacifist yep.

I like guns for recreational purposes. "Gun control" is impossible now anyway, we have way to many in circulation. Half of them are probably already illegal anyway. And, we are safer as a nation against ground invasion with them. We do need keep our guns safe and take saftey courses.

Why not? The .22 my dad gave me for my 10th birthday is a semi-auto. A terrific rifle, I've probably put 10,000 rounds through it.

The topic comes up often in emergency rooms when children kill another child or themselves due to an unlocked gun cabinet or gun in the open.

Children shoot one another because they haven't been taught any better. Where are the parents? (Anybody else here old enough to remember "parents"?)

How do you control a society that can get a gun and leave it available is another topic.

I'm not particularly interested in having someone "control society". That isn't what the government is supposed to be about.

Columbine is an example.

You'll have to 'splain why it is that as rates of gun ownership do down, Columbine-looking incidents go up. Maybe it's 'cause we don't have enough guns lying around...

What you've said is very true!!!

Sooo many QUACKS out there, and because they all agree with each other, people 9the public) accept their (the doctors, the psychiatrist, the physicans etc) words as fact.

My Opinion : EVERYONE sholud have a gun. It's a RIGHT not a priviledge. ~It's kinda like this: Just because someone comes into power and abuses that power and wealth, doesn't mean everyone would if they had that same chance!

People are individuals and God sees us this way.

We do it, cuz it helps us to feel safer.
