They've said what we're experiencing is irrelevant. If the chart says the sky is maroon, it's not blue, it is maroon. I'm not sure what that reminds me of more, 1984 or Brave New Word.

It's like what Klause Schwab said "you will own nothing and be happy" - live in a tiny micro apartment that you don't own, ride a bicycle to work and eat lab produced food in order to save the earth. It's funny how it's the elites who promote such ideas who themselves fly around in jets

You can't ignore what he says. It's what you must base your vote on. The man's 'policies', and I make no excuse for the scare quotes, are monstrously idiotic. What on earth have you heard him say that makes some sense to you?
You are right. Better to say that, as with all politicians I take what he says with a grain of salt.

To be clear, I was temp-banned from my favorite conservative site in 2016 because, during the primary, I was so against Trump. I saw him as a chameleon. That is, you couldn't trust what he said. But within a short time after his inauguration I became a huge fan. One thing that really stood out was his making Jerusalem the new site of our embassy. A lot of R presidents had promised they would move it, but he simply did it. Meanwhile, he constantly said "lock her up", yet once elected he did not go into "banana republic" mode, unlike the Democrats when Biden was elected.

What I base my vote on is his track record of accomplishments in office. He is, IMO, the best president in my 70 years, and, honestly, way beyond that.

Technocracy is rule by experts. It's not democracy .. you have to listen to what the experts say (corporate or government affiliated experts). Anything else is a danger to democracy they will tell you and dangerous disinformation that the government needs to censor or control. The idea here seems to be that everything was fine but Trump told me that the economy was in trouble so then I believed it. I can't make a determination on my own based on the rising cost of living, the cost of a vehicle, the cost of a house, cost of electricity, if it's harder to find a job or a good job, and numerous other impressions based on what I see and other people in similar situations. So they will keep printing money in order to send billions overseas.
The comical part is that the last thing we want is democracy. What we want is what our founders gave us, a constitutional republic. I'd love to see the 17th amendment overturned.

He was an awful president. He got hundreds of thousands of Americans killed, destroyed the US reputation abroad, lead an insurrection, the list goes on. He's the worst president we have had in over 100 years. The only ones beating him are the ones leading into the civil war.
Opinions vary. It's pretty clear you and I operate under different schemas. Interestingly, Based on my news sources I'm rarely surprised - if ever - when reality forces the hands of events. e.g. the Zimmerman verdict, the Rittenhouse verdict, The Juicy Smallyay outcome, the exposure, during the debate, of what is actually going on with Biden. Etc.

Heck, even the New York verdict in the Trump trial was not a surprise. I thought it could go either way though, based on the lunacy of that judge.

I'm not tired of being right. And it is because I get my news from proven trusted sources. What changed my life in a very real way was getting rid of any broadcast television back in 1997.

Fundementally it is and I have provided evidence. Both sides do it and this has been the nature of politics from around the 70's and 80's. Most people don't realise this. But if you study the history the evidence is there. Did you even read those links.

This is typical of ideologues. They dismiss evidence out of hand and then come back and strawman the arguement and use other fallcies to divert from the content and evidence. Not one word about the content. You complain that I don't back up what I say and then ignore that evidence and make misrepresentations.

My point for your false analogy earlier and your reply is typical of what I am pointing out about how people are replacing the truth and facts with ideology. In your case the ideology is Tom Sawyer. You use a real river (the facts) to substanciate a myth, unreality and then keep referring to the truth of the map as evidence for the myth thus conflating the two hoping no one notices.
Which is exactly what you are doing, what you have done continuously ever since you joined this forum. That is why I am making fun of you about it. We have noticed, despite your hope.

I haven’t gotten it yet.
Most people feel that their personal income hasn’t risen faster than inflation.
Personal experience is more relevant to them than people spouting statistics and telling them they are doing better
You're not really talking about "most people." Yes, the economy is doing fairly well right now, but there is a large section of the a
American workforce which is not on board.

“Can’t you people see? We’re telling you that you’re better off, we’re giving you the statistics what are you complaining about?”
Seems to be the Left’s position
Nobody has said that 'you' are better off. We're telling you that the US economy is better off. Do you want policies to reflect what's happening with country as a whole or just as you feel your personal position should be?

I keep telling people that I know that the US is going down the toilet. It'll be a generation at least to get it right. And I might use that quote above as an example of the reasons why.

It’s not just me. It’s the majority of people in the US

I didn't ask when you were going to get it. I asked what the rise was going to be as a percentage of your wage.
I won’t know until I get it. They just told me to expect a significant amount

You be sure to know if 'significant' is greater than the rate of of inflation. I'll let you check to see what that is...

The rate of inflation is irrelevant. Everything could have doubled in price and the rate of inflation could go down to 1%. What people are feeling is how much things cost.
Rate of inflation versus rate of wage growth looks good in reports, spreadsheets and speeches but it doesn’t translate into an affordable cost of living for many people who are feeling the pain.

Just don't forget to tell us how much more you'll be earning...we'll ask how you 'feel' about the economy then.

I won’t feel any different.
Average weekly earnings went up 14.8% during Biden’s first three years in office, according to monthly figures compiled by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, inflation ate up all that gain and more. “Real” weekly earnings actually declined 3.1% since Biden took office.

Being paid a ridiculously large sum of money to make ends meet is not a good thing. I don't know why they think or pretend it is.

What are you experiencing other than a great economy in the free world?

It doesn't matter what people are experiencing. Only the official statistics reports charts whatever matter. And they say it's all peachy keen.

So higher pay is bad?
Having to be paid a huge sum of money just to make ends meet is good? No, it's a joke. A bad economy is where it takes wheelbarrow full of cash to buy a week's worth of groceries. Why would anyone think soaring pay to keep up with soaring prices is a good thing? Why would a dollar being worth what a penny could buy a few years ago be a good thing? No wonder there's talk of bringing back $500 and $1000 bills.
