What about the people who take the subway every day? I live in a heavily Democrat dominated county where the approach is the same. The chances of being injured by an assailant here are higher than on any light rail system in the entire country. It's been quite a while since I have been on a ride on that system. Democrat leaders know the problems and the problem areas, but the defund the police movement damaged law enforcement and there is a movement not to budget for overtime for the police. The mayor of my home town has been focusing on reparations.

Crime is up in many many places. Whole cities have been destroyed due to Biden immigration policies. But remember the whole country is not woke. We can see the results of woke police policies in liberal cities like San Francisco or Portland or New York City. Take the subway situation in NYC. Under the last Republican mayor they would ticket or arrest those who got on the subways without paying. The woke approach was to just let it go. The same mentality as California not having serious penalties fro thefts under $1000. What has happened on NYC subways?

He was deported in June of 2018. Then illegally entered the country again. He was next seen February of 2023 when he was arrested, not detained, nor deported by the sanctuary city.

I wasn't aware that subway killings was a competitive sport.
But yes, putting an out-of-control guy who was on drugs and threatening to kill passengers in a choke hold is hardly the same as lighting a sleeping woman on fire and then sitting back and watching her burn to death.

We currently have the fifth highest incarceration rate in the world. We make up 5% of the world population but have 20% of it's prison population. At what point does it start to make things better for us?
