yea you just have to be careful where you search as the "secular" world seems to love the idea of Angels and especially Guardian ones... and how their gran is now an Angel who sits on their shoulder and wispers the lottery numbers in their ear...
Funny how a world can belive so blindly in the existance of angels but not nesserserally in any kinda of "god"
This passage makes me wonder if not only were they (NT believers) taught about guardian angels but too, if our GAs have a similar appearance as us.Whilst crusing through these forums I have noticed a number of comments about Guardian Angels. Whilst I have no doubt that the LORD will send his angels when we are in need of them, I doubt that we are appointed our own angel as some posters seem to suggest.
Is there a Scriptural reference to support this idea? Do you have a Guardian Angel? What evidence do you have to support such an idea?
[bible]matthew 18:10[/bible]I'm not sure if the Angels in heaven protect us while we're on Earth, however the Holy Spirit is our protector on earth. He's our earthly guardian, all you have to do is repent and accept him.

OR, they were filling in their own ideas.
Acts 12:13-16
13 Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer the door.
14 When she recognized Peter's voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, "Peter is at the door!"
15 "You're out of your mind," they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, "It must be his angel."
16 But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished.

[bible]matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven
Can you explain what Jesus intended when He said this?
yea thats an interesting one: in another version its a little easyer for me to understand lolThe express purpose of Angels are to minister to Christians. This verse says that. The verse before sets the subject as Angels.
Heb 1:14
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
KJV
Once we know their purpose, we as Christians must learn how to allow them to minister to us.

Is ArmorVincit the only one who has a scripture. I am curious because this questing came up in a home group discussion, so I would like some good scripture to present on the topic next time.
Thanks
Thank you Tyndale.sunlover1, don't quote me on this but at times the word Angel in the bible was understood to mean messenger or someone who brought good/bad news

Heb 1:14
Therefore, angels are only servantsspirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. (NLT)

Observe here, 1. A cautionary direction given by Christ to the men of the world concerning his members; Take heed that ye do not offend one of my little ones; that is, that ye do not undervalue and neglect, much less injure and afflict, them.[bible]matthew 18:10[/bible]
