==================================

Romans 6: How can we experence the power of a new life found in our every day walk with The Lord?

We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death; so thatjust as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father; so we to might habitually live and behave in newness of life; For if we have become one with Him by sharinga death like His; we shall also be one with Him in sharing His resurrection by a new life lived in God.
We know that our old unrenewed self; was nailed to the cross with Him in order that our body; which is the instrument of sin; might be made ineffective and inactive for evil; that we might no longer be the slaves of sin; or when a man dies; he is freed; loosed; delivered from the power of sin among men.
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him; once raised from the dead, will never die again; For by the death He died; He died to sin; Because we know that Christ; the Anointed One, being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him to it once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God; in unbroken fellowship with Him.
This Glory Is already in us; if we are bornagain. now we must get into The word; and find what we are to do as our part in the Covenant.
The Covenant is our instructions to live by.in Duet:28;
The blessings are our benifits; if we do what the instructions are; the latter is the curses that Jesus became in order to deliver us from the curse.

in Galations 3:For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, unto God.

11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I'm learning that there is an inherent goodness in what's RIGHT in God's eyes. Being at peace with others is right, and there is a sweetness and joy in that. A fight against injustice is also right, and there is goodness in that. Showing mercy is right and there is dignity in that.

I guess I used to think about "right" strictly in terms of my actions -- as in, I should do what is right. But I didn't realize that what is right in God's eyes is, well, an absolute. It's something unto itself. It is something we recognize when we see it, or when it happens, like a stranger helping a stranger in need. We see it, and we are moved by it. Because it is right, and what is right is beautiful, true,loving and admirable.

Hard to explain but worth understanding.

God has done what the Law could not do; its power being weakened by the flesh; the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin; so God condemned sin in the flesh; subdued; overcame; deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice; So that the righteous and just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh; but in the ways of the Spirit ;our lives governed not by the standards and according to the dictates of the flesh; but controlled by the Holy Spirit; For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires; set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the Holy Spirit.
Romans8:6...
The mind of the flesh; which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit is death; death that all the miseries arising from sin; both here and hereafter; But the mind of the Holy Spirit;
that dewells within us after we are bornagin; is life and soul; peace both now and forever;that is because the mind of the flesh; with its carnal thoughts and purposes; is hostile to God; for it does not submit itself to God's Law; indeed it cannot; So then those who are living the life of the flesh; catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature; cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him. But you are not living the life of the flesh; you are living the life of the Spirit; if the Holy Spirit of God; really dwells within you; directs and controls you; But if you does not possess the Holy Spirit of Christ you are none of your own; you do not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God. when you accept Jesus for your personal Savior;His Spirit comes to dewell in your spirit; and is sealed to redempion; now your spirit is Saved or Bornagain; but your soul is still geered to the world; or carnal; so we must renew our minds to the written Word; Or John1:1 Jesus Christ;The Annointed One.
What helped me very much is a prayer book, Prayers that avail much; written by Jermaine Copeland.
any christion book store will either stock it or can order it for you.it is scriptures put to prayers.
I must say this to you; nothing is automatic, we must do our part;we are in covenant; and a covenant is not onesided, it takes two parties to work in agreement. Gods will is His WOrd; it is
His last will and testiment. Parsonsmom

leastone, I really enjoyed your last post, It is so true that we are always wanting to hang on to what is familiar to us, we often think we know what we are doing and that is one big mistake;I know that I am guilty of that, and I know that the Lord will never do anything to hurt me, but I just don't know how to let go and let God lead me, I guess I start thinking I got it all figured out, and I should know better. I pray that God would continue to nudge us in the right direction for our lives, and keep on until we hear His still small voice whispering in our ear,that when we hear, we are quick to do what God wants us to do................Molly

Galations 3
Keep in the covenent promises, renewing your mind to the word.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

speaking after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulls, or adds to it. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He says not, to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ ; And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. I also find it a great relief knowing that GOD KNOWS exactly what is in a man (me, and others). I unfortunately tend to be afraid of other people and how they "spin" what they say is true in order to make things APPEAR different than they actually are. But God is omniscient, and He sees everyone's actions and He knows everyone's motivations. I can trust that there is ONE truth, one reality -- regardless of what people try to make circumstances seem like.

greetings Jenster; It is a good thing that our Heavenly Father is mercyfull. Through the Blood shed for our redemption; it is our responsability to get in the Word,
and learn what the things are for us to do, in order to renew
our mind to His Word. A Covenant is between Two.
By renewing you mind to His word; You can come to the
place you can believe these Scriptures

1 John 5:
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Jesus died to give us these things;

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Watch what I say and getting to know HIM more by spending time with Him and in His Word is something that I feel that that the Lord has been saying at lot to me lately.

I was a meeting with Andy Wommack and he was saying that in trying to get to know the Lord more and spending the time, people have to make sacrifices i.e. less time aimlessly surfing the net or watching soaps and sit coms or cutting those phone conversations short. Has anyone actually made that leap? what have you pushed back in order to spend more time with God?

John 1

King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

I am a reader and a studier by habit. The things that I believe the LORD has led me to give up is some recreational reading (I enjoy fantasy and Sci Fi), most of my TV time, and a good portion of my time spent following sports. For me, all of this is to free up time not for more Bible study (I still spend hours each day reading and/or studying the Word and spending time here), but to spend more time interacting with people. God knows my weaknesses and He let's me play to my strengths mainly, but relationships are too important in life for God to let me become the dry intellectual hermit that I would be without following the guidance of His Spirit.

May the Holy Spirit bless you with guidance and encouragement in sacrificing your leisure time to spend more time in His Word.

I've just read your post and enjoyed reading every Word of it. It reinforced that there are others (many others) who are out there switching off tv's putting down books, newspapers, Internet to stretch beyond their natural inclination and grow in GOD. Wow. I'm really enjoying my journey it's excellent. I don't get time to flop in front of the tv anymore but that was getting boring anyway :)
